Fear

Fear is a feeling of apprehension, anxiety, or dread in reaction to a threat or danger. As creatures or humans, we have all experienced fear. Some people fight out of fear, while others flee.

To overcome fear, we need courage, determination, and willpower. If we fear something for a long period, such people suffer from anxiety or stress.

For several reasons, people become fearful. Some people fear their unpleasant memories. Fear changes our response.

Because of fear, people hurry to respond to threats. Most probably, it might be fighting or fleeing. Whatever it is, that reaction happened fast.

Most of the time, our personal experiences make us fear. Some are fearful of negative experiences with a particular situation or object. To prevent fear, we need to understand clearly the thing we fear.

Some people fear the dark; some fear being at heights. Some people are fearful of failure, and others are fearful of staying alone. Like this, a fear from people to people changes.

Whatever the fear is, it must be conquered. Otherwise, people had to deal with a lot of issues. Then what can we do to overcome this fear?

First thing, we need to identify our fear. Next, the cause for fear and what it triggers. Then learn how you can face that fear.

Our thoughts or our mentality take the prominent place in controlling our fear. Challenge those thoughts and ask yourself, How realistic is the fear? Gather facts to face your feelings against the fear.

It is normal to get an immediate reaction of fight or flight against fear. Fear can be overcome using easy techniques like deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, and meditation.

It is important to face fear instead of avoiding it. Therefore, if we feel dread, we should attempt to understand its origin before confronting it head-on. Courageous people usually overcome their fear.
