My Future Goals – Simple Dreams, Big Hopes

When I step forward in life, I have a few beautiful goals in my heart. They may look small, but to me, they are full of love, care, and hope. These goals keep me happy, excited, and strong. Let me have a chance to share them with you.

One of my main goals is my health. One of my eyes has a cataract. Therefore, my vision is very poor. Especially as I engage with my laptop most of the time, it develops rapidly. Therefore, I have decided to do cataract surgery in July. I am not afraid. I want to enjoy the beauty of the world more clearly. I know better health is a blessing, and I want to take care of myself.

We also want to expand our tiny apparel business. We began it with a great deal of hope for my retirement. We purchase the materials for t-shirts, have them cut and sewn, and then sell them to the stores. It is now family-owned and I want to gradually make it better. Along with money, it gives us satisfaction and an understanding of purpose in life. This small business keeps my husband and I active as we work together.

Traveling is my next goal. After November, my younger son, who is currently in the UK, will return to Sri Lanka for a vacation. He has committed to traveling with me to a few other countries. One place I am excited to travel to is Singapore. My excitement will be maintained and my heart will be filled with memories as I visit those countries.

Taking good care of my grandchild is my next goal. He is our family's gift. It is he who fills our home with laughter and happiness. I want to adore him and care for him. I also want to help him grow ethical values.

Finally, I want to select a suitable bride for my younger son. He is now 29 years old. He aimed only for education. Therefore, he does not yet have a girlfriend. As parents, we have to select a suitable bride. First, as parents, we will look for a suitable girl, and then we will ask him to select a bride as his choice. Marriage is a lifelong journey. Therefore, we let him decide on her partner. Anyway, my goal is his marriage.

These are my future goals. Although they seem to be very simple, they are very important to me. I believe I can fulfill them one by one with a little effort, love, and confidence.
