We are not late yet
Hi, guys, we are all aware that the kitchen is one of the most important spaces in a home. But many people don't know that it makes family bonds stronger. Cooking in our own homes not only provides food for the family but also strengthens bonds with the members of the family.
In 1980, more people in America reduced preparing food at home and increased the trend of ordering outside. At the time, some economists warned that the family unit would be weakened if the government took over the care of the elderly and children and private companies handled the food preparation.
In those days, very few people paid attention to this warning. But what happened later?
In 1971, 71% of American families lived together as their family. But today it has reduced up to 20%.
Where did the others go? The reduced people were in nursing homes, distant apartments, or disconnected from their lives.
Through them, 15% of women live alone, while 12% of men live alone in families. 41% of children are born outside of marriage.
When considering their marriage, 50% of families divorce from their first marriage, 67% from their second, and 74% from their third.
When we eat alone, our family members turn into social media friends, and homes turn into lounges.
Foods that we buy from outside frequently contain subpar oil and artificial flavors. Not only that, but fast food is costly and of low quality, and we are addicted to it.
The reason for this is the closure of the kitchen in that country.
Homemade foods are not only nourishing, but they also contain love, relationships, and comfort.
Sitting together in the dining room brings us many benefits. Elders can teach children, and dining tables bring people together with hearts. It helps relationships soften and warm.
In those days, our elders used to bring food with us when we went out. But today, even when we are at home, we order food from outside, thinking it is easy.
But my dear friends, we still have time; light not only the oven but also the kitchen. Let's work together to strengthen our culture, safety, and relationships.
