Hello, Dear Marie We All Loved
Hello, Marie.
Marie, who always seemed destined for unhappiness.
But one by one, children—pure and gentle as young birds—gathered around her.
“We like you, Marie. We love you.”
Their voices wrapped around Marie’s heart,
and she left this world quietly, hearing those words of love.
A crown of flowers, woven by little hands,
was placed on Marie’s head,
and her coffin was covered in blossoms the children picked themselves.
When it was time for her last journey,
the children insisted on carrying her.
And throughout the year, Marie’s grave was always adorned with flowers,
thanks to the children who loved her so much.
Marie, who seemed forever alone,
left the world embraced by the warmest love.
Even those who once mocked or disliked her
eventually came to love her sincerely,
and through loving Marie, the children grew up to be kinder and happier people.
Sometimes, I wonder if I too was one of those children back then.
Marie, who taught us the meaning of love.
Goodbye, Marie—may you be happy forever.
This is the most beautiful story I heard today—
Goodbye, Marie we all love.
