Prompt of the day “Bushwhacked” - I Must Repay That Support!
I have been here a year on Steem, I have yet to become bushwhacked!
Everyday starts a new page, each month a new chapter, each year a new episode of the @D00k13 series! I suppose I am almost complete my 12th chapter. A year on Steem is almost up but I feel as if my journey has really just begun.
My first few months on Steem were not very successful like the majority of us here, I found ways to make connections yet many of them I no longer bump into 😔 so many have left us!
I spent my time building, networking, grinding it all out till some glimmer of light could be seen in the darkness! This birthed #OneLoveDTube a support community, only after a few months, beginning from my desire to do more and needing to automate some of the processes. I consider this the beginning of my journey on Steem and back then I did not know where it would lead me.
My success really started when I brought my life onto the platform and really started boosting myself with all the tools I could, I took a vacation and did travel vlogging. I was awarded Partiko Partnership just a few days into my vacation which gave me something to post about and I went full out challenging myself.
Quickly learning that through marketing Partiko and my Partnership I was also selling myself I started to apply this to #OneLoveDTube and I have seen that success flow into the community with support for our projects and my own success took right off.
I am not completely sure when it happened, maybe 8 months into posting I landed a whale trail along with the community trails I am apart of. I get mad support on every post now and for that I am eternally grateful. I put everything down on the blockchain as ideas going along only it initially wishing to capture my thoughts for later reflection. Writing “I’d like to see....” or “I wish I could...” and my ideas become reality, well our ideas become reality because I give them up freely to whom ever will embrace them!
Another hop skip and jump ahead here I am now still heavily active on @Partiko, @OneLoveDTube having working projects, deeply involved with the @FreeWriteHouse. I am Hosting giveaways and contests on my own while also doing what I can for sponsoring. I provide assistance to newbies where I can and have started supporting all those that have helped me along the way via delegations. I keep pushing my dream of a uncomplicated mobile vlogging experience for Steem, that travel vlogging vacation opened my eyes!
So a year is almost up and I’m starting that new episode of the @D00k13 series but guess what? It’s a culmination of everything I have been working on coming together and nothing “new” at all, my supports finding support within each other in one cause! Adoption and Onboarding!
Through all the different projects I am apart of the tools are there for anyone returning or trying Steem for the first time to have a joyful experience.

I'm in the same boat. @wakeupkitty, with the slowest internet connection in the Midwest...an acreage is a great place to live if you don't need access to city conveniences. Your success story warms my cold, hard heart, @d00k13 - a whale trail as a reward for your persistence and loyalty and writing efforts - good for you!

That is what I keep asking myself too. Been there for years, power down, bad computers, old smartphones etc but if I look here they all seem to be provided with the best

Aha yea missing many of the trails and tribulations but still gets the point across, it took a lot of hard work!
Connection is very important to DTube, I’m sorry to say without a solid connection it is seemingly a waist of time though @fitinfun has managed to get a few videos up while fighting with her connection.
Actifit is less connection based, are you certain it’s not some other problem you might be having? Talk with the guys in their discord they might be able to get you running 😉
It’s a matter of making the time and learning to simplify things for me anyways. Largely I have to remind myself now of the real world issues needing attention.

I can hardly login, never watch a video, you tube is not working, reading my e-mail is hard, so is telebanking. Even whatsapp takes long. Discord is no longer possible. I tried all Providers there are it is all the same. Frequently 3 or 2G with that you can do nothing nowadays. I tried Internet by phone and it is the same.
Even at the library and Internet care the connection is bad, which is a 15-20 minute drive from where I live.
For Actifit I seem to need a connection too. It only counts 1 step of every 100-500 steps I take. I also do not like to take my phone with me if I am outside with the dogs jumping at me... well I noticed if the connection works I can sit in my chair hold my phone and swing it up and down and if I do so it counts my steps as well.
I am writing whole day on... it is true you have to make time, but with a lousy connection it is also hard to read or post something. It takes 5 till... to load a post.
Sounds like you may need to look into any possible upgrades available, there must be something that will work for you?
I suppose actifit does require GPS tracking, that may be what is restricting your step count?
🤞 I hope you can work something out going into the future, so many opportunities missed because of a crap internet connection 🤦♂️
