For me personally it is almost a good thing. I am on steemit to exchange ideas, connect with interesting people, maybe learn something. For me the reward system on steemit is rather questionable. I believe it actually corrupts the mind. It makes people suck up to others in order to get upvoted, post things they think will get them rewarded. I'd say the posts and comments on steemit would be completely different, if no rewards could be expected. More honest...
