The first thing is to discover which book would excite us. It is important to start with this type of book and not with a book that is dense or complicated, that is not good to read. We must choose a topic that really interests us and in this way it will motivate us to read much more. Some people start by reading something about personal development, stories, novels or fiction. What type of book would you like to read?
It is important that you do not try to read the book all at once, but rather do it little by little but consistently, for example: you can start by reading 10 or 15 minutes a day at a time, I recommend that it be in the morning at the most productive time. You can also do it at any time, another recommended time is right before bed. When you start reading you should also set realistic goals such as reading five or 10 pages a day, these goals should be simple and super achievable, when you meet them this progress will motivate you to continue reading and meeting goals, after this you can raise your goal.
Let's say that you do not have the time or you have not yet set aside a moment to start with this habit, you can start with an audio book, this can be an option or directly a support. You can listen to an audio book while you are in the car, when you are doing some homework or when you are exercising at the gym. But when you are going to start reading, it is necessary to have a quiet space with good light and, above all, without distractions. It has to be an environment that invites you to read more. You can keep trying until you find that ideal environment. At one point, my ideal place was in the garden in the morning before the sun came up. I was overcome with a beautiful feeling when I saw the day break and heard the birds sing in the freshness of the morning.
You must work on consistency and make this reading a habit. You don't need to force yourself to read. You must enjoy it. Reading should be something that adds to your life and not something that causes you stress.
