Just let people be...
One of the things I like best.
There is mass confusion. People want you to be around, but they don't want you to create low effort posts, but then they want mass adoption, but then they go around policing the chain and flagging people into oblivion for submitting low effort posts. But then they promote Steem on Twitter and Facebook to bring in the masses. But micro posting is unacceptable. And then they wonder where the masses are and why they haven't joined yet. Well guess what, not everyone is an award winning novelist.
People like original, quality content around here, but guess what, the vast majority of fat upvotes end up landing on the same pages, supporting the same authors over and over again. But it's about content yeh? 50% curation rewards means no circle jerking going on anymore yeh? Nah. That's bs.
This is a closed circuit, and so it will remain, cause large stake holders think it would be best if they collected all Steem tokens for themselves. Not sure how this works for them, but one doesn't need to be an award winning economist to find that extremely dumb.
But where's everyone? My feed is dying.
Guess what, most people went to places where they can post whatever the hell they want without having to get bullied by whales who have nothing better to do in the world. People like micro posts, that's what they use social media for. Not everyone is going to want to write endless pages every day.
Some people think that anyone would do whatever to milk the platform and reap rewards, but one should keep in mind that not everyone of us lives in third world countries. Some of us can't even buy lunch with 200 Steem. We are here for the fun of it, Steem can't provide for our needs anyway. Stop acting like our survival depends on your support.
I also laugh my ass off when I see people blaming users who sell or have sold Steem tokens. Well, guess what, those tokens are ours and we can do whatever we want with them. I don't have to explain myself for having sold 12K steem tokens which I EARNED with my skills and time, and not received because my buddies are rich or were given fat delegations for free, which they use to vote for me 23 times a day.
Projects like Utopian brought people to the platform, and I believed in the project and shared the team's vision. That's why I offered my services, and had to work too many hours a day to keep the aforementioned project running. I had to get paid for that. I am not your servant. Yes, I sold Steem. Shoot me in the head.
Everyone, please come back.
But don't submit low effort posts, don't say anything the whales might disagree with, don't even dare selling a single Steem token we gave you because we are such gentle, generous beings, don't vote for your own posts (even if nobody votes for your original content), don't spam the chain with comments, don't post multiple times a day, don't have unpopular opinions, don't forget to kiss asses, don't use pictures from the internet, don't use videos from the internet, don't use an internet connection anyway. Don't drink and drive, don't make war, don't do drugs.
Don't even breathe around here. It might get you flagged and blacklisted.
Where did everyone go though?
