Yes, you're absolutely correct. I should clarify that these bloggers are not clearing thousands in profits but they are thinning out the rewards pool for everyone else. The beauty of the blockchain is it's easy enough to figure out where the money is flowing if one is so inclined. I'm a bit miffed as to how sincerely grateful many steemians are to shill for and resteem these Trending posts. But, I also realize nobody is breaking any rules because there aren't any to break, and money or the desire for it is a major influence. These bloggers are just masters of manipulation and have no integrity but as the saying goes I can only lead a horse to water.. Fortunately, I'm not driven by dollars and have other things to do outside of steem.
