RE: Let me see if i got this straight.

All of the web sites I've encountered that promised incredible deals to users for nothing ended up doing negative things that undermined the user base.

Bait and switch is common on the Internet. I suspect that it will be the end game for many blockchain projects as well.

Unfortunately, the gimmick sites managed to undermine web sites with above the board marketing strategies.

Its hard for me to complain when ive taken out hundreds of dollars and not put them all back, but i do anyway.

Congratulations on making money with SteemIt. I have every intention of taking money out of SteemIt. Quite frankly, the only reason that I am on the platform is that I was wandering if I could find a way to use the site or technology to make money. I want to use the money to fund worthwhile activities.

Big platforms like SteemIt, Tumblr, Youtube, Google, Facebook, Twitter and other sites feigned a contempt for money to build a user base. Then they they sprung their money making scheme on the users.

Sites that were upfront about their desire to earn a living were pushed under.

Because of the way we behaved, we made in the internet worse.
