Dinajpur Suihari Vegetable Market which is completely dependent on students. 90 percent of the buyers here are students who live in the mess or hostel. Students from the surrounding mess or hostels do the daily market in this market. Various types of vegetables and meat are sold here every day from morning to night, but the fish market is only held in the morning.

Vegetables arranged for sale
Measuring products for sale

Since this market is based on the students' mess or hostel, very few products are sold here because all the daily expenses of the meeting are incurred in the hostel every day. Here you can get 5 taka (0.30 steem) salt, pepper, turmeric. Here a student buys 2/3 meals a day for their mess. Which is done regularly.

This market starts at 7 am and stays open till 11 pm. There are most shops for vegetables here and everything is available in this one shop except fish and meat. Students of the mess or hostel buy everything in one shop and after calculating the total amount at the end of the market, the shopkeepers hire rickshaws to go to the hostel.

This is a grocery store. Here you can find all kinds of rice, biscuits, chira, muri, eggs, pasta, noodles and other ingredients. Rice is the most sold item in this grocery store. Rice is available at low prices for students staying in hostels.

There are two chicken shops here where they sell chicken in two ways, one whole chicken and the other as much as they need. Meat from the mess or hostel is bought by the meter. Some buy 2 pieces of meat as a border for lunch, while others buy a piece of the size of a bride. The meat seller weighs it and cuts it into pieces accordingly.

Fish market
Cutting fish into pieces

Here, the fish market is located and fish is bought from the big market in the morning and sold here. There are 4 fish sellers here who regularly sell fish from 7 am to 11 am and all their fish are sold within that time. In the case of fish, just like meat, they take the fish and cut it into pieces according to the need or budget. Fish sellers know this and their main customers are students, so they provide these services. There are always low-priced fish for the mess, such as silver carp, pangasius, or bata-type fish. They provide the convenience of cutting fish for free. They are skilled in cutting fish because the faster they can cut the fish, the more buyers they get. They sell the most in a short time in the morning.

90 percent of students are buyers here because locals or families do not feel comfortable shopping for the students in the morning. However, many come under pressure only in case of emergency. This market also closes when schools and colleges are closed, especially during Eid holidays, this market closes for 1 week because students go to their parents in the village. May this market survive and may the economic drive in this market continue through transactions with students.
