How I Earned My First $1,500 Selling Sports Shirts Online

My name is Muhammad Aashar, and I’m from Pakistan. This is my very first post in this community, and I want to share one of the most exciting parts of my journey — how I started selling sports shirts online and generated 432,000 PKR (~$1,500) in just 45 day

🏁 How It Started
Like many entrepreneurs, I had a simple idea:
“What if I sell custom sports shirts online?”
I didn’t have a big budget, but I had passion, time, and curiosity. So, I created a small website, uploaded product pictures, and started promoting through social media and word of mouth.
💡 What Worked for Me
Targeting the Right Audience – My first customers were university teams and local sports clubs.
Word of Mouth – Happy customers brought in more orders.
Consistency – I worked daily on answering queries, managing orders, and improving designs.
⚠️ Challenges I Faced
Stock & Inventory Issues: Sometimes I couldn’t manage sizes properly, which led to delays.
Customer Expectations: A few customers expected “big brand” quality at small-business prices.
Time Pressure: Handling orders, delivery, and marketing alone was tough.
But every challenge gave me a new lesson.
📚 Lessons I Learned
Not every customer is “your” customer. Focus on the right ones.
Good service matters more than big marketing.
Profit takes time — patience is the real investment.
🎯 What’s Next?
After this experience, I’m now working on a new e-commerce store for doctor scrubs. I believe the healthcare clothing market has huge potential, especially in Pakistan. This time, I plan to manage things more professionally.
🙏 Final Words
This first business was not perfect — but it gave me confidence that small ideas can actually work. I want to keep learning, experimenting, and sharing my journey with all of you.
👉 Question for you:
If you were starting your very first online business today, what niche would you choose — sports, fashion, or something else?
