Today I became a journalist for a day. So today I will be visiting festival-centric businesses. Durga Puja is currently being celebrated, so today I will go there and visit the businesses that are set up on the occasion of Durga Puja.
✅ What are the festival-oriented businesses in your area?
In my area, there are generally 4 types of festival-oriented businesses. For example, two Eids are celebrated by Muslims, first Baishakh in the New Year and the biggest festival of Hindus, Durga Puja. In addition, Waz Mahfil is often celebrated in madrasas. Different types of businesses are seen in each festival. For example, Hindus sell their worship items in their worship, Muslims sell Islamic items in Waz Mahfil such as Tasbeeh, Hadith, Quran, etc. However, one common business seen in all types of festivals is children's toys. Children of all religions like toys. That is why toy shops are more common around any festival. I have noticed more toy shops around the Durga Puja pavilion today. So I think these shops make any festival more festive.

Yes, I bought toys for my sister from this shop today. While browsing this shop, my sister liked some toys. So I bought her toys from here. Along with that, I checked the prices of some items in the shop. It is shown below-

✅Why are people more attracted to street shops during festivals?
These shops are temporary. These shops are not usually seen. Moreover, the lights and decorations around the festival increase the beauty of the festival. Any festival attracts people more. During festivals, colorful and attractive products are beautifully decorated on the streets. These products are not usually seen in the market. These shops are especially seen during festivals. Especially, various kinds of toys for children are seen more. That is why street toy shops are always crowded during festivals. People are more attracted to street shops because these toys are not available except during special festivals.
✅ Are these businesses contributing to the preservation of local culture?
Yes, the shops on the side of the road during festivals play an important role in preserving local culture. Because different businesses are established during different festivals. And these festivals carry the heritage of culture. Therefore, according to the culture, local people bring various cultural products to these festivals. For example, various cottage industries, crafts, pottery, etc., various products of the industry come up in these festival-based fairs. Which are not seen without festivals. In these festival fairs, children get the opportunity to learn about the local culture of the country. So I think these temporary shop businesses contribute immensely to the preservation of the local culture of our country.
