On the occasion of Sharadiya Dargotsav, I am going to share with you, as a one-day journalist, the activities around this puja around Sri Sri Jagannath Bari Temple, so without further ado, let's go straight back to the main point.

The location of the temple around which I am going to participate in the competition is Shahid Shahidullah Kaisar Rd, Feni. It is a very famous temple in Feni and people from all over come here to worship. We usually see some businesses being set up around pujas, weddings, mahfils, sports, fairs, or other events. Some of them are temporary, some are permanent.

However, these businesses keep all these fairs or events bustling. Although we all know how healthy these open foods are personally. And I especially don't eat such foods much. However, these are the favorite foods of many. Anyway, today, as a one-day journalist, I will share with you some photos of such businesses.

As soon as you enter the temple, you can see the crowd of people. And since we went in the afternoon, there wasn't much crowd. But after evening, it gets crowded.

Now you can see the room where Shiva worships and the design above that room.

I took a selfie while standing inside the temple.

I took a photograph from the outside of the temple, showing the design of the building.

One of the businesses that has sprung up next to the temple is Rang Cha. After asking the shopkeeper, I realized that people who come to worship in the temple get tired of climbing up and down the stairs. And they come here to drink Rang Cha.

Now the shop that you see in this shop, all the items are for worship. Or the general things that are needed for their place of worship. Such as candles, incense sticks and such items. This small shop does a lot of business. Because people come to worship, people buy from here and then go back to worship.

When they go to worship, they collect sweets from this sweet shop for their traditional prasad. Many people come here after worship and enjoy sweets.

Since the competition is for journalists, I wrote it in English and took a photo of it as part of a one-day journalist's work.

Now you can see the Bhelpuri which people like very much. Although I am not much of a fan of this kind of open food. However, I shared a photograph with you.
IMG_20250930_165152.jpg
Now you can see that the papayas have been cut very beautifully. Those who want to can buy and eat them from here. And they have also prepared grated hog plum, so that people can eat it very easily.

Now you can see that another shop has put pineapple, grapefruit, and hog plum paste together, and each paste is made with one ingredient, so that people can eat it according to their taste.

01What are the Festival-centric businesses in your area?

Actually, there are usually many businesses around such events. However, it is not possible to highlight so many businesses. Nevertheless, I will highlight the businesses that are very popular and which are very popular. And among them are jhal muri, fuchka, chatpati, various types of boots, nuts, various types of cut fruits, such as amla, papaya, olives, pineapple, lemon juice. But in that case, these are seasonal. Again, worship items, tea shops, sweet shops. There are countless of them. I think such businesses keep these events bustling. And without such businesses, the events would be boring.

02Have you ever bought anything from these stores? Show pictures + videos and show their prices.

To be honest, I don't really like this kind of open food. And I wasn't hungry when I went. After all, I didn't buy them, nor did I eat them. However, I have described below what I found out by asking about their prices.

03Why are people more attracted to street stalls during festivals?

The main reason why people are attracted to such neighborhood shops during events is the variety of food, which is not usually seen. And these are only seen around such events that people do not get anywhere. Again, some people are experts in making some foods, due to whose expertise their food becomes popular. That is why people are more interested in eating such foods. However, most of the foods in these businesses are unhealthy, from my point of view. Because these are dusty foods, people still love them.

04Are these businesses contributing to preserving local culture?

Of course, these businesses have maintained the tradition and play a major role in making these events lively. Without such businesses, those events would not have been so lively. And especially, such businesses have been small-scale since ancient times. They still exist and such businesses will continue to exist in the future. That is why, in a word, these businesses are applicable to such events and they are another external beauty of these events. And we all accept this.

Anyway, after visiting these, I returned to my destination and had a different feeling or experience. For that, I would like to thank the Steemit team for organizing this competition.
