Technicians are a key figure in our civilian life. No matter how developed our society is, how advanced our lifestyle is, without a technician, our lifestyle will be stuck. Especially, without a barber and a mechanic, we may struggle a lot, with our look and our vehicles.

Welcome to another Week of Steemit Challenge, season 26. Our beloved mentor @max-pro arranged another nice theme. This time it is about a technician and a mechanic.

What types of service-based occupations are most in demand in your area?

Barbering is the oldest occupation in the world. A motor vehicle and bike mechanic is one of the modern occupations. All other technicians and mechanics are also modern needs. In comparison with all of this, in my opinion, barbering has the highest demand in my area. Every man has to meet the barber. But all other occupations are not needed for all. Like, I don’t have a bike, I don’t use a watch or glasses.

People go to a barber shop to cut their hair, trim their beard, etc. A barber makes us look beautiful. He is trying hard to give us a better look. I can't imagine what we would look like without barbers!

Have you ever used these services yourself or purchased anything?

Just like I said, every man had to visit a barber. I also visit the barber shop regularly. Today, I visit my regular barber shop. All man has their favourite barber. If someone finds their favourite barber, it is hard to change him. The relation between a barber and a man is like a strong chemical bond which hard to replace.

Were you satisfied at the end of the work or were you ever disappointed?

If there was no satisfaction, no one would go to the same barber again. It's like a rule. There was a time, when I lived in Dhaka city, particularly, Mohammadpur. At that time, my favourite barber's shop was near the Shia Mosque. 5 minutes' distance from where I lived. Once, I had to change my location. But I couldn’t change my barber. I came a long way to cut my hair and trim my beard for him.

Now, I live in Ashulia, Savar. It is like a permanent address of mine. I have my favourite barber. Because, I am satisfied with his service.

There was harshness and a disappointing moment, too. When I had to visit my village, I had to get the service from someone random barber. It happens more than once that with their service, I was disappointed. I never visit them again.

Do people appreciate the work of the shopkeeper?

Like I said, people can change their location, but not their barber. If anyone does not appreciate the service a barber provides, they will never visit there again. This occupation relies on appreciation. All other technical and mechanical service providers also go for the same. No appreciation, no further visit. As simple as that.

All kinds of service providers, from a cleaner to a barber, a mechanic to a technician, a glass or watch repairer to a plumber; are all essential figures to stabilize our civil life. Life would be difficult without them.
