Today I am writing about my day's activities. From the beginning to the end of the day, various experiences have accumulated, so I felt like sharing them on the pages of the diary. Today was a very special day for me. After waking up in the morning and finishing our normal work, we started preparing. Because today there was an invitation to my father's house. My husband, sister-in-law, sister-in-law's children, my in-laws, my maternal uncle, and my father-in-law all planned to go there. My mother has invited everyone to eat tal pitha. Since I live in the village, my in-laws' house is also in the village, my father's house is in the village, and in the village.

The tradition of our village is that everyone from the daughter's in-laws' house is invited to eat tal pitha on this special occasion. An invitation to a village house means a different emotion. A different joy, especially since tal pitha is a traditional food of our region, there is a different side to it. We reached my father's house around noon. When we went there, we had a lot of stories and chats with everyone in a very personal atmosphere. Although my mother used to invite me for this pitha a little later, she gave it so early because my husband's vacation was over.

My childhood home is a treasure trove of memories. While walking in the courtyard of the house, I felt how much had changed and how much had remained the same. In a short while, hot taal pitha was served to us. Eating hot taal pitha reminded me of those childhood fair days. The joy of eating together as a family is truly different. The afternoon passed while eating taal pitha and talking, and then we all prepared to return home. On the way back, it felt like today had passed like a festival. After returning home, my heart felt like preparing another village-style dish.

So I decided to make bara with gom bhajil leaves. Everyone in our village knows this leaf well. The bara made with it is really different to eat with hot rice. After returning from my father's house, I soaked the leaves in water to soften them. Then I cleaned and washed the leaves. Then I chopped the leaves in a large bowl and blended them with lentils. Then I mixed ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin paste, chili paste, onion paste, turmeric and salt one by one. I kneaded all the ingredients well and made small balls with my hands.

I heated oil on the stove and fried the balls. As soon as they came out of the hot oil, the kitchen was filled with aroma. Although these balls look black, they are very tasty and delicious to eat. After arranging the balls on the table, we all ate them with hot rice. As soon as I took the first bite, I felt ah, this is the real joy of our rural taste.

No matter how much food I eat outside, the taste of these traditional village foods is absolutely unique. Today is a day that I have believed in. The joy of eating palm pitha at my father's house in the morning and the gom bhajil leaf balls in the evening have really made my day colorful. Spending such time with family is the real happiness of life. Finally, I would like to say one thing: it is very important to preserve our rural traditions and the taste of food because they not only fill our stomachs, but also fill our hearts with joy.
