"SLC-S25/W6-Movie Snapshots| Your life on Screen; Broken Hallelujah”.

in Steem4Nigeria4 days ago

Greetings and welcome to my blog. Today I am glad to participate in this last week of the challenge. Here’s my task for the week.

Watch a movie that reflects a part of your identity, culture, or experience.

Life is indeed full of experiences. Some bitter, some sweet. Some we want to relish and some we don’t want to have anything to do with them anymore. So was my experience some months ago.

I was in a very bad state and then I watched the most dramatic movie of that season. It was as If God was using that movie to speak to me at that very critical point of my life. I cried and cried. The movie ministered to my then experiences. I wasn’t passing through what the character was passing through in that movie but it portrayed the ability to stay true to our faith in the faces of challenges.

My faith as at that time was being tried and I almost gave up but this movie helped me know that indeed God sees us in whatever we are passing through and he’s never far from us. The name of this movie is “broken hallelujah”.

Mention 5 things from the movie that motivated you to keep pushing in life.

These are the five things that I learnt from this movie that motivated me to keep pushing in life.

  • The core thing I learnt from this movie is the importance of faith and the need to be resilient in our faith. As a Christian, God did not promise us that we won’t have challenges or encounter difficulties but he made us understand that in the faces of these difficulties, we should be resilient to defend our faith and believe in him. No matter what happens to us, we should never give up on God.

  • Importance of family support. In anll our struggles, we should never do life alone. We all need the love and support of our family and loved ones to be able to pass through difficult times and also we should be supportive towards our family members who are passing through tough times.

  • I learnt that being vulnerable can be a strength. Most times we all seem to act all strong all the time as if we have everything under control. We can never have everything under control and it’s ok once in a while to open up to people we trust and ask for help or a listening ear. Their encouraging words and supper can go along way to help us overcome our challenges.

  • I learnt the importance of forgiveness in our relationship and life generally. If we don’t forgive people who have offended us, we would be limited in life and would hinder our prayers and walk with God.

  • The last but the first, we should be prayerful. As believers, we should be prayerful at all times. We should pray in season and out of season and
even in our lowest moments. God cares for us.

This movie opened my eyes to the fact that God loves me and no matter what I am going through presently, he would always be there to see me through and at the end, His will will be done in my life.

Who was your favorite character? And why?

My Favourite character in the movie is Daniel Etim who played the role of a husband to Bimbo Ademoye. He’s name was Okwudili while Bimbo was Diya in the movie.

I loved the role he played as a loving and supportive husband to Diya. When their marriage was headed for the rocks and things weren’t as should be, he showed unconditional love and support to his wife. His loyalty and support was the reason the marriage was able to stand through their rocky times.

If only most men can be half that supportive, most marriages would not end in divorce. He’s role is really worthy of emulating. I loved it. He got me glued to the screen.

Mention at least 2 movies you have seen this year that inspired you and why they did.

Two of the movies I envied this year so much was the popular love in every word and where love leads.

Love in every word was the talk of town some months ago. A movie that buttress’s on the struggles and bridging two people from different sides of life with different interests and how Odogwu won the heart of his Achalugo through his broad heart and also how Achalugo was able to look beyond some mindset and embrace the beautiful gift of love that came her way. I loved this movie because of the class it brought and the need to be kind to one another even when things don’t go our way.

Wherever love leads is a romantic drama that ensued between a twenty eight years old young man and a forty years old woman. They both fell I love with each other but their love was going to be torn apart by sentiments about age and other underlying factor but the young man was able to stand his ground and follow his heart.

Who wrote the rules that a young man must marry a younger lady? Well, for this one, he rewrote the rules and followed his heart to where love led him. I loved the movie because it went against the normal norm that everyone knows and at the end, their love conquered.

Thank you for these six weeks have been an amazing time of exploring different movie genres and I loved it.
