15 Nigerian Finalists on Steemit— Our Journey in the Four walls of School
It may surprise you to see that over 15 Steemians on Steemians are going to sign out the same day. How possible? What was the connection since day 1? It all started when we started college in 2021. I didn't know the users you're seeing on your screen. I was an introvert who only make few friends. During our screening into the University, I met @dwings. His composition told me he's also introvert. I didn't directly spoke to him until something prompted. That's how we knew each other.
We didn't become close friends immediately but had this social interaction as we stood outside for nearly 5 hours, waiting to be screened. My first year in school was solely dependency on parents for transportation and other school necessities. I made it my target to be on first class. My score in PHY 111 where I scored 93/100 was my greatest achievement. I never missed night classes especially when staying with medicine students in the hotel.
Subsequently, it was difficult for my parents to cope with four people in tertiary institution. That's how I started my journey into financial growth. It all started with Palm pay referrals where I made my first 70k which is worth 358 steems. I used this money in supporting myself in the hotel as feeding in the hostel was difficult.
I made friends with @whitie and @nsijoro subsequently before encountering another digital skill introduced to me by @ngoenyi. I left my PalmPayhustle and started my journey on Steemit. I didn't even wait for clarification on how or what the platform is; I already made 2 posts. I made my achievement 1 post in the library due to my impatience to know what Steemit is and the financial benefits it has.
Passing through thorns wasn't an avenue to give up. @ngoenyi served as a mentor to me, and I attained heights with her guidance. I started taking care of myself without directly depending on my parents for money. I also made a few investments in Bitcoin and Ethereum for future purposes.
Someone told me about Palm pay and Steemit, so keeping these things to myself wasn't as good as I thought because there are a lot of students who need money more than I do to settle rent and expenses. So I decided to advertise steemit in school. I moved from department to department, trying to convince my classmates that steemit is reliable in terms of finances and academics.
The first set of Steemians that joined mainly to confirm if it's paying were @decency01, @saviourisonguyo, @whitie and @lastbabe. These 4 Steemians started Steemit a few months after I started before they backslide into pursuing their dream grades. Looking crazy as the only active content creator, I continued into what I knew how to do best. Later on, @basil20 joined, followed by @usoro01 and @uduak3287. These three were my motivation as we were looked down on.
Questions arose as to why we would say we're earning in Steems but there is no evidence in our lifestyle. We should be driving cars, wearing good clothes and using the trending iPhone. So our lifestyle indirectly made most people think Steemit is just another waste of time. This didn't get to me because not everyone would listen to you. I continued my unending journey.

With the four of us being super active on Steemit, we explored places together, made good moments and also made people know we're not steeming alone. Our first meetup brought that unity among us. I will never forget that day in my life. That was the first achievement I had with my Steemian friends, all in the same department.
I then purchased a phone with my Steemit earnings, which was concrete evidence that the pay is real, even though powering up was tantamount. @dwings and @nsijoro joined the platform under my lead, and I created virtual mentorship for them, still chasing my first class wholeheartedly. These 5 have really benefited from the Steemit platform and have resorted to continuing on to the end even though financial constraints set in.
@bee5 and @hahdie joined the platform under my mentorship, giving @usoro01 hope that she has female Steemians to relate with in the department. Life happened as they both chased their dreams, sacrificing time until they got what they wanted in school. They believed there's a time for everything.
Seeing @hahdie combine both and is still a first-class motivated @edu-chemist, @spektro223 and @deportal are to meet me for mentorship. These were the very people who doubted Steemit since our first year in school. Now, these are the people craving to create content. They joined Steemit with full force, creating relationships and being active for a while until they stopped, referencing their imbalances in grades due to multitasking. I believe after our final year exams, project and defence, we'll all come back active on Steemit.
But why me? Everyone has paused to chance their dreams, but I'm balancing both. I just feel I have this graceful mindset that prevents me from losing out on both sides. I thank my creator for always making a way out even during times I feel I'll fail a course due to my negligence in attending classes. People keep asking me, How do I do it?
- Steemit
- Crypto
- Mentorship
- Photography and
- Academics
I don't lag in any. I try as much as possible to set balances so I won't outweigh one over another. This is me publishing this content and being active even in the face of a series of examinations. It's difficult but attainable. Everything in life is about mindset.....@emmalex25, @mac-com and @arella01 Later joined, though two have paused because of the exams at hand. We'll definitely get back stronger once everything is on deck.
Our induction is tomorrow. You're warmly invited.....

The joy of graduation, I know how it feels to be called a graduate. I'm super proud of all of you, there's no doubt that dedication brings good lucks, untill that day we will celebrate you guys in a grand style I want pause and congratulate all of you. Cheers .
I have never regretted meeting you on campus. I salute your level of creativity, determination and resilience, you're very good at multitasking, I can't forget those days in school were you'll want to convinced people to sign up on palm pay, opay and there's another one which I've forgotten. Most times, even when lecture is going on you're on one essential task or the other and it has really paid off.
I suppose I'm one of those people that had approached you some number of times to find out how you're getting along with all these engagements coupled with academics...well, as it is said, every beginning surely has an end, as we come to the end of this phase, I pray we keep on attaining great heights in life and never to look back to see an opportunity we would have harnessed, all the best @bossj23♥️
