Cultural Dance Display by Two Steemians in a Traditional Marriage

On a Saturday evening, during a traditional marriage, I met @goodybest. I was surprised she was also at the event but at the same time happy that I've got a senior Steemian to take pictures with. When the bride was about to be introduced, we both danced as friends of the bride to the open space where the audience keenly watched the bride dance gracefully. As a traditional man, it's uncalled for for me to hear a traditional song and not dance to its tune.

The crowd was so seriously encroaching that the bride couldn't be seen by most people in the audience. They were just watching other people dance. So I decided to entertain them, putting smiles on their faces. I looked for a clear spot where I knew I would be very visible and started dancing like a paid traditional dancer. @goodybest saw my style and joined me in my dance space. She related how she's a learner in traditional dance.

I was like, 'She must be hiding something from me because we have learners who are visibly seen to be learners and professionals who shy away from dancing.' I told you that I will perform my dance tutorial in this marriage. So we both started the leg dance with our bodies going down. She did this perfectly. The song was giving justice to our moves until it was changed to a faster rhythm. We had to adapt to the rhythm, and this implied that we shook our bodies at a very fast pace. This was where I won her in the dance because she couldn't move and go down as I did.

But anyways, I love the way she took control of the whole situation. I barely could see a woman dance so long the way @goodybest did. She nailed it even though she's a learner. But I doubt she's a real learner. She knows these things...🤣🤣🤣. That was how I made my first dance challenge with a Steemian. Other ladies were just in awe that I could dance more than they did, but goodybest couldn't accept such. She challenged me. We both nailed it. She had this endurance in dancing for a long time, which I didn't. This was what she used in beating me.
