Weekends are the most fun-filled time when we do something different from our normal daily routines. Mine began with a beautiful Saturday morning, It's that day I don't get to wake up too early in preparations for the normal days' hustle. It's a rest day from the normal busy day of the week for me. When I wake up, I take my time to do my chores. This day also happens to be my kids' school graduation party day. There was no major work at home that would delay us, so after breakfast, we prepared for the party.
This graduation party was fixed to be a week after exams, so the kids had been at home for a week. They were happy they would be seeing their classmates again today. I also like graduation parties because this is the time I get to meet with my kids' teachers and say thank you for their efforts towards my kids throughout the school term. I make sure I get them a gift for this gesture. Seeing these teachers smile gives me Joy, I can imagine how patiently they impart knowledge into these little children, especially the toddlers. I will say they are special people who help our children grow every day.

There was also an interesting educational debate section by the students titled Should children be allowed to have a cell phone? They gave so many interesting points, both proposing and opposing sides. With all their points, I stand that children should not have cell phones until they are mature enough to handle the emotional distress that comes with exposure to cell phones. But if a child must have a cell phone, maybe for communication with parents or school work, research, there should be restrictions.
We were entertained by the student presentations. When they were done with the listed activities for the event, awards were given to students who had done well in their academics, and the collection of results was the last for the day.
My Sunday
First Sunday of a new month! It was an awesome time in church. Lots of people came, happy and grateful to see another month. The day began with the busy Sunday morning of trying to make breakfast so everyone can eat before we leave because it's going to be a longer stay in church since it's the first Sunday of the month and has a lot of activities.
Luckily, we got there earlier, but some people could not eat and ate their food in the car while we drove to church. On arrival, I noticed we were a few minutes late and had to wait outside while the opening prayers were going on. Once prayer is going on in my church, people are not allowed to walk in and out to avoid distraction, that is why we were asked by the users to wait outside, but after the prayers, everyone was allowed to come, so we joined the service.
It was all Thanksgiving service, and prayers were said for the month to be a good one for us all. The sermon for the day was centered on the "Rich fool" who acquired riches for himself and never taught of helping the poor/needy, all he did was to keep expanding and storing his riches until he died, leaving all his riches behind, which became useless. We were admonished to help the poor in this new month and always.
The service ended leaving everyone in a happy and good mood, indicating this new month will be a good one.
