Black Magic: A Quest Of Getting Quick Riches Or Being Famous
Growing up as a child, I used to watch Nigerian movies where people go to any length just to get rich. Some even go as far as joing occultic groups just to get rich. After joining such groups, we often see the gods or deity requesting for one sacrifice to the other and these sacrifices usually involve killing loved ones and relatives. At the end of the day, the man will eventually die or run mad when there's no longer any one else to offer as sacrifice.
These however, are scenes I've watched in Nollywood movies. These have prompted our parents then to warn us sternly not to accept gifts from strangers. They instilled this fear in us that we will turn into a goat or chicken or yam for ritual purposes of we collect any gift from strangers. These were the tales and stories I've been told and heard while growing up.
Approaching adulthood however, I didn't just hear these stories but I've seen in real life, people being buchtered like animals and their private parts harvested all in the of ritual killings for fame or to get rich. I've also seen people being accused of being responsible for the sudden death of their loved ones cos they used them for ritual purposes.
To make matter worst, even our men of God are not exempted in this ungodly acts as I've seen and heard a lot of these acclaimed men of God being apprehended for killing humans for ritual purposes. Some even go to the extent of burying humans alive on their altar just to acquire power and fame.
I'm more worried about my generation as majority of the youths have now resorted to what's is now trending as Yahoo plus where they engage in all forms of occultic and demonic activities just to get rich or be famous.
Few weeks ago, my community was thrown into serious chaos and confusion. Three Calabashes were found in a small stream within the community. This Calabash contained some baby items, fruits, some foreign currencies and a few other fetish items.
The question is:
Who must have dropped those items there?
What was their motive and intentions?
Does these things really work?
How did we get to this level?
If things continue this way, what will be the fate of our future generations?
My next content will be an encounter I had with one of these guys I suspected to be into all these internet fraudulent activities some days ago.
What's your take on this?
Do these things really work?
What can be done to reduce and if possible stop all these evil acts?
How can the general public especially the youths be sensitized on the fact that there's dignity in labour?
Shalom.......
