Actually, is so painful to pay what you didn't know of, but never the less we will still let the cat out of the basket as we proceed.

Few minutes after the woman left the area I was in, the next time I saw her, was at the cashier's desk, i was surprised to notice she was smiling and waving at me while carrying 2 bags of provisions as she exited the store.

"I couldn't imagine the meaning of that,,

So Five minutes later, I finished the price comparison that had brought me there. Just as I was about to make use of the door, the cashier called me back.

Hello, please Mr. Man come back!!

"Sir, you haven't paid," the cashier said as she stood up.

"Paid for what?" I asked, confused. I have cleared up my payment and beside "I didn't pick up anything."

"But your girlfriend did," she responded. "She said you would pay for her."

"What girlfriend?" I replied.

"The lady who just left few minutes ago. The one who was with you."

It dawned on me that I had been tricked by a clever thief who had used her supposed ex as an accomplice.

"Sir, are you paying in cash, by card, or through bank transfer?" the cashier inquired.

Sincerely "That girl isn't my girlfriend. I don’t know her at all," I tried to explain, but it was too late. "Okay, how much is it?"

"The total is #135.200 naira."

"What for?! What and what did she buy?" Please let me know

"She packed some provisions and a bag of rice, sir."

"What kind of rice?"

I shouted, glancing out the store, dripping with sweat. The only money I had was the 1,500 naira the thief had given me.

"Which way did she go?" I asked the cashier.

"I think she went that way," the cashier said, pointing.

"Please, lock the store so we can catch her," I said, feeling desperate as I rushed outside.

"Sir, you need to pay me first!" the cashier called, chasing after me.

"Don’t chase me; I didn’t buy any rice!" I shouted as I ran toward the road. "Let’s catch her before she starts cooking it!" 🤣🤣🤣
