One fateful day, a young man felt hungry and fortunately stumbled upon a nearby restaurant where he went in to have a meal. As he enjoyed his garri and soup along with a cold drink, it was around 5 PM when a man entered carrying a briefcase.
What comes to mind?
I assume he was an important politician based on his attire and potbelly. As he entered, exuding the scent of his fine cologne, everyone turned to look at him. Suddenly, a woman approached him, crying. The young man observed as she knelt down and explained that she and her children were facing starvation since her husband had passed away. The man glanced at the woman, opened his briefcase, and handed her 200,000. The woman sprang up joyfully and left the restaurant.
The young man continued watching when another man came over, knelt, and pleaded for financial assistance to start his own business. To his surprise, the man pulled out a 500,000 cheque and gave it to him.
At that point, the young man felt inspired to take action. He began mumbling to himself and preparing a false story in hopes of receiving his own share of fortune. It got so serious that he started crying and approached the wealthy man, kneeling before him. Just as he was about to speak, he suddenly heard a shout, “Cut! Cut! Cut!”
Turning around, he saw the movie director laughing at him, saying, “Come on, we’re filming a movie here! Only people from Naija will understand the kind of embarrassment that young man faced at that moment, but truly, the economic recession can be overwhelming!
