First Impression leads to this picture

Think of going to a convention full of different set of people. As you are there trying to find people you know. You saw two people Walking towards you and smiling, the start a conversation with you and finally ask for a photograph with you. Their first impression makes you both to become friends. That's what happened to me as seen in the above image.

Also imagine walking into a bank for the first time. You don’t just know anybody in that place. But suddenly one person sees you at the gate, walks up to you and says, “Good afternoon, can I help you out?” Also Another security person just stares at you from the corner, no greeting, no smile at all, just cold eyes staring at you.

Who will you feel safe with?....

Or imagine you’re trying a new food. If the first taste is sweet, you’ll want eat it more. But if it’s bitter, you may drop the plate and never tried the food again. That’s how first impressions works. However, truly that first moment whether it is with people, even places, or things—can surely build how we feel and what we decide to do in the next move.

👥 Have you ever met someone for the first time and been impressed or turned off because of the person's actions? Tell us.

Yes, many of us have. Sometimes, the way someone behaves when we meet them on the first time can really makes us to feel welcome or make us to feel bad and rejected.

I can remember One time, I went to an occasion which I was invited by my friend. I didn’t know anybody there. As I entered, I greeted the man standing at the door. Hey was the one directing people to were they should be sitted. So as I entered, he looked at me from head to toe and said, “Sit anywhere.” No smile, no welcome. I felt like I was disturbing him. I almost turned my back and Left if not that I quickly saw my friend that invited coming towards me.

But just as I later sat down, one elderly woman beside me smiled and said, “You’re welcome, my son.?” That small kindness changed everything. I felt relaxed. I even stayed till the end of the occasion.

So yes, first meetings can leave strong feelings—either sweet or bitter.

🧠 Explain your understanding of the saying first impressions matter a lot?
1000104712.jpg

This saying means that the way someone behaves the first time wey meet them can affect how we surely see them for a long time. That first moments is really so strong and powerful,I must say. Infact, many people use it to decide if someone is respectful, serious, proud, careless, or kind at the moment.

So,even if the person later changes overtime, that first impression still stays in our mind and Memory. It’s just like trying a new food for the first time if the food is sweet and really delicious, you can just choose to eat more from time to time. But, if it’s really bitter and not delicious, you may not even want to go close were the food is cooked or try eating it again.

First impressions are not just about looks. It’s about attitude, words, body language, and how someone makes you feel. That’s why it really matters a lot.

📅 Tell us about your recent experience of a first impression of something or someone.

Just last month, I went to a government office to renew my national ID. My leg was hurting and i was already tired from the long queue outside. So when it was now my turn to go to do mine, the woman at the desk didn’t even look up to me at all. She just shouted angryly, “Next Person!” full of anger like we were disturbing her or rather tormenting her.

I try greeting her calmly, but she didn’t answer me at all. She just pointed to a form. Her attitude made me feel like I was begging her for something, and not doing my right. That first impression at that office made me feel frustrated and angry.

But the man who helped me with the fingerprint later was surely different. He smiled, and explained all the process, and even joked a little which makes me likes him. That small change made me feel better. I left the place with mixed feelings—but I still remember how that woman made me feel first.

✅ Tell us how people can make first impression positively count.

However, so if we really want people to remember us in a good and special way, especially when they properly meet us for the first time, here are some things we can surely do which will help us in first impression:

  • Properly Greeting people well: A simple “Good morning” or “Hello” can go a very long way. It really shows respect and friendliness.

  • Smile small: We shouldn't keep strong or bone face also we don’t need to laugh out loud, but a calm smile makes people feel safe and comfortable around you.

  • Dressing neat: We shouldn't think of having money to wear expensive things. Because we don’t need expensive clothes, but wearing clean and tidy ones can Make people notice how we present ourself.

  • Talking: Using sweet and gentle or polite words. Try not to talk and shout to people angrily. Infact even when we are about to correct someone, we should do it gently and calmly and full of respect.

  • Listening: Yes it's very important that we shouldn't interrupt or act like we know everything all the time, and others are illiterate. Try to let people to finish their own thoughts before we add our own.

  • Kindness: Offer a seat to someone without them asking first, also help someone to carry something, or just say a simple sentence like “thank you.” These little things speak more louder than big grammars.

When we all do these things, people will remember us very well. That first meeting or first impression can lead us to friendship, job offers, help, or even blessings.

Your experience with most of the rude people you have mate is indeed frustrating. But I liked the way you handled your emotions because some people wouldn't take it lightly.
