Morning Routine
Rise and Get Moving
I woke up around 8:00 AM. Though it was a bit later than I planned, my body clearly needed the rest. After freshening up, I prepared mentally for the day ahead. The morning was calm, and I tried not to rush things. Sometimes, a slow and steady start sets the tone for productivity.
By mid-morning, I made my way to Epic Plaza, where I work. It’s a lively business space located in the heart of Uyo, and every day brings something new. My job today involved handling online registration for customers — a task that requires accuracy and speed.
At first, the flow of people was steady, but later in the day, it picked up, and I had to stay super focused to avoid errors. I managed to attend to everyone, ensuring that their data was correctly entered and submitted. That’s a win in my book!
Around 2PM, hunger hit me hard. Thankfully, I had a delicious meal: jollof rice served with two big, chicken laps.
The jollof was spicy and flavorful, and the chicken. Tender and perfectly cooked. Honestly, that meal deserves a spot on my highlight reel for the day.
Despite the challenges and little technical glitches here and there, I managed to complete all the customer registrations for the day. It felt good to wrap up with no pending work, and seeing satisfied clients made the effort worthwhile.
As the sun started to set, I could feel my body slowing down. I felt tired and a bit dizzy, probably from all the screen time and concentration. Still, there’s this quiet satisfaction that comes from knowing you gave your best.
Now I’m home, just relaxing, reflecting, and writing this post. Hopefully, after some rest, I’ll be recharged for tomorrow.
Final Thoughts
Every day may not be easy, but every effort counts. Today reminded me that showing up and doing what you can — even when you’re not 100% — is still progress.
