Hello Everyone !

I am @hudamalik20 from Pakistan. I hope you all are doing great in your life. Today, I am participating in this contest The Secret to Strong Relationships organized by @ruthjoe in Steem4Nigeria Community.

What do you believe is the number one secret to a strong relationship?

In my opinion, the number one secret to a strong relationship is trust and open communication. When two people decide to spend their lives togeather, it's very important that they don’t hide anything from each other. We all have flews, but real love means accepting each other completely, even with those flaws.

We should be able to share everything honestly whether it’s something that made us happy or something that hurt uss. If something bothers us, we should speak up instead of staying silent.z A strong relationship grows when both people understand each other's feelings, respect each other's emotions, and always listen to each other without judgment.

Sharing joys and also supporting each other in difficult times builds a deep connection. When we know what makes the other person feel ensecure or uncomforteable, and we still choose to stay, support, and understand that’s when the bond becomes truly unbreakable.

What role does active listening play in building stronger connections?

When we are good listeners, we understand what the other person is feeling and what they are trying to share with us. Active listening is very important in building strong and long term relationships. When we listen carefuly, we get to know what’s going on in the other person’s life and how they are really feeling.

Sometimes people just talk and don’t listen to others, and that’s where relationships start to break. But when we give time to listen with ful attention, the other person feels respected and valued. It also helps us respond in a beter way and support them when they need us.

Whether it’s between husband and wife, friends, or family, active listening makes the bond stronger. When we know their worries, happiness, or what they are going through, we can help them in a better way. So, being a good listener helps us build trust and makes any relationship last longer.

Can a relationship survive without forgiveness? Why or why not?

No, I don’t think any relationship can survive without forgiveness. We are all human, and humans make mistakes. Sometimes we hurt others by our words or actions inntentionally or by accident. But what matters is that we feell sorry for our mistakes and we talk to the other person about it. We should try to fix it and show that we want to make things better.

If someone hurts us, and they don’t say sorry or we don’t forgive them,, then the love and closeness in the relationship slowly disappears. For example, in friendships, if a friend hurts us and doesn’t say sorry, or if we never forgive them, ours bond weakens. We won’t feel the same love and care as before. That’s why I says forgiveness is so important.

Sometimes we don’t even realize that we hurt someone. But when we do, we should be brave enough to apologize,. And the other person should be kind enough to forgive. That’s how relationships grow stronger.

Even in marriages, many times people make mistakes, but they don’t say sorry. This creates distance between husband and wife. Over time, the relationship becomes cold. So, forgiveness is not just important it is necessary to keep love, peace, and understtanding alive in any relationship.

What’s a common mistake people make in relationships that weakens them over time?

Yes, I’ve seen many common mistakes that people make in relationships, which slowly weaken the bond between them whether it’s between friends or between a husband and wife.

• One big mistake is not trusting each other. Sometimes, when there is a misunderstanding, instead of talking clearly and sorting it out, people start blaming the other person without knowing the full truth. This breaks their connection slowly, and the misunderstanding grows bigger over time.

• Another mistake is lack of communication. People don’t share what’s going on in their lives or how they feel. They keep everything inside and expect the other person to understand on their own. But relationships need open communication. If we don’t share what we’re feeling or what we need, the other person won’t understand us, and distance will grow.

• I’ve also noticed that some people hide things from their close friends or partner. For example, if someone is feeling jealous or upset, they don’t talk about it. Instead, they behave differently, and the other person starts feeling confused or hurt. This lack of honesty creates problems.

• Another big mistake is not forgiving each other. Sometimes, friends or partners want to forgive, but their ego stops them from saying sorry or accepting an apologyz,. This pride keeps them apart, even though deep inside they still care.

Also, instead of sharing their problems or feelings with the person involved, some people go and talk to others. This brings a third person into the relationship, which creates more misunderstandings and fights. It’s better to talk directly to the one you’re in a relationship with, rather than involving someone else.
