Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 109: Letting Go
Hello, friends welcome to my post in which I have discussed "Letting Go." as part of my participation in this contest.
What do you understand by the subject matter; Letting Go
Letting go means releasing something or someone that I have been holding onto mentally, physically, or emotionally from my mind so I will have peace. Letting go can be a dream, a relationship, a mistake we made, or a version of ourselves. It is beyond pretending and forgetting about what's letting go, which means it will never matter to us again.
For example, if someone offended me so badly and I let go of the person it means I have forgiven the person and what he or she has done to me doesn't matter to me again since I have let go, because letting go is all about accepting that certain things have reached their end, and choosing peace over struggle is the best.
Have you had any experience where you had to let go of something?
Yes, I have had experience where I had to let go of something. There was a time I found it difficult to let go of my personal goal that no longer aligned with who I was becoming in life. Although it was difficult for me, I still let the personal goal and lifestyle attached to it go. I held onto the personal goal for years because it once meant success to me, but over time, as I grew up and started understanding life, I discovered it wasn't the best for me, so I let go of it.
Why and how do you know it was time to let go
I always knew it was time when I realised holding on was causing me more pain than growth. The excitement that was gone was replaced by emptiness and frustration. I wasn't progressing, although I was just stuck in a loop of what if this happens. That was the time I then understood that letting go isn't about losing instead it is about making space for emotional freedom and new beginnings in my life.
Why hold onto things that weigh you done or limit you from achieving your desired goal? It was a wise decision to let go of the personal goal that no longer aligned with who you dreamt of becoming. I'm sure that it brought you better outcome.
Wishing you all the best in the contest.

You know at first when someone is doing something the person may think he or she is right until the person has realised his or her mistake. Honestly I don't like holding onto someone or anything. Thanks for your support.
