Attending A Three Days Regional Convention Of Jehovah's Witness

Tick-tock tick-tock, it was finally my turn to attend the regional convention of Jehovah's witness, it is always an awaiting moment to me with the intention to attend and benefit from the encouraging and inspiring spiritual banquet prepared by the governing body of the organization.

Many congregation had attended theirs, some at the assembly ground and others at the stadium which I've attended once but as a quest. And so my congregation turn to attend the convention happened and it lasted from 22-24. Throughout these period, I've given an attentive ear and I've learned, I've had quality time with friends and I've eaten different types of food, it is my pleasure to compile and share my three days adventure in the regional convention with you all.

Day 1 - IT IS JEHOVAH YOUR GOD YOU MUST WORSHIP.

On the first day which happened to be a Friday, I got prepared and transport myself from home to the assembly ground, 800 naira was spent for transportation fair just for going, that's a total of 4 steems.

I couldn't arrived in time so I kind of missed the chairman address, well I arrived during the Bible drama session which highlighted the good news according to Jesus. The drama portrayed Jesus baptism through John the Baptist in the river of Jordan, it was this moment that a voice said from heaven "this is my son, the beloved whom I approach" how jesus surpassed Satan temptation in the wilderness after 40 days and 40 night without food and etc.

Fast forward to the symposium, where the fulfillment of messiah prophecy were discussed, the prophesy that Jesus will descend from king David tribe and it was fulfilled in "mathew 1:1-2" others prophecy were discussed.

The morning session came to an end with a song and a brief announcement, it was time for refreshments and just like I said earlier, I tested different sorts of food from different places, fried rice, porridge plantain, yam and beans, ekpang and etc.

When you receive spiritual food, you also received physical food as to evenly grow spiritual and physical, In the one hour break I was well feed to the extent where I ignored some food just to avoid sleep in the afternoon session andguess what!! All food were free, I was revitalized and ready.

The afternoon session commence by 12:45 PM with music video presentation, by 1 o'clock the session commence in full.

During this session I was also educated, for instance i must live on Jehovah's word, when Satan tempted Jesus food was one of his temptations planned, he knew that Jesus was hungry so he tricked Jesus to turn a stone into bread but Jesus insisted, saying “It is written: ‘Man must live, not on bread alone, but on every word that comes from Jehovah’s mouth.’”

Remember Jesus discussion with the woman of samaria that went to fetch water? That woman was only capable of fetching an ordinary water but Jesus was capable of providing a water that gives everlasting life, but the question is how do we drink this water? We can only drink this water by following Jesus footsteps not perfectly but partially, by doing so he'll become our savior.

Those and etc were learnt before the afternoon session concluded, this was the part that pictures came in.

Day 2 - the zeal of your house will consume me.

Day two came in a haste and I was opportune to attend as well, in day one we watched part 1 of the drama and in day two which happened to be a Saturday, we watched part 2 of the drama. Part two of the drama starts from the moment when john was baptizing people in the river of Jordan and the jews sent priest to question him.

How Jesus approach John in the morning and he said, See, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! How peter, Andrew and Philip were called, the scene that leads to Nathaniel question which he ask "Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth?" It also highlighted how Jesus turn water into wine during the wedding at cana.

I was inspired by the example of those that love pure worship, the likes of John the Baptist, James, Andrew. The baptism talk helps me understand what it means to be baptized, we concluded with a song and brief announcements.

25 people got baptized on this day, both genders. It's always a moment of happiness to have new incoming members in Jehovah's organization. Because it was a break, I ate sweet food and drink to my satisfaction as well.

After one hour of break, we went back to the final session. Started with a music video presentation and later commence with a song as usual.

The speakers highlighted how I can apply the lessons from Jesus first miracles to my daily lifestyle, how to show compassion and be generous to the people around me.

The continuation of Messiah prophecy fulfilled continued and the speaker highlights how the prophecy about Jesus Christ was been fulfilled, for instance he was consumed with zeal for Jehovah's house, he declared the good news to the meek and how he also resurrected.

After the closure of the whole spiritual banquet, we decided to captured. A lots of pictures were captured, all in different styles and excitement in facial expressions.

After the whole capturing moments, we all retired to our different destination in our own source of transportation, good thing is we all return safely.

Day-3 Worship the Father with spirit and truth”

It was finally the last day of the pure worship convention and I wished it wasn't. My outfit was ready so I bathed, dressed and departed to the assembly destination. With the title of the day I knew I was about to be spiritually nurture.

The chairman kickstart the morning session with a song and prayer. In the morning session a lot were discussed from the Bible and a lot was learnt. In summary I learned a lots from Jesus words, especially when he said "I am he" "the fields are white for harvesting" and etc.

Do you worship what you know? If I'm being ask I'll quickly say yes i do but what will be your respond? While there's thousands of religious out there, millions of people doesn't understand the God they're worshipping, the real God is Jehovah and we worship him with spirit and truth. We ended the morning session in watch Tower summary and went for a break.

We ate and drink as usual, used the break time to see long time friends, discussed and captured before the afternoon session kick start.

It started with episode three of the drama, the good news according to Jesus and it portrayed Jesus discussions with pharisees man Nicodemus when he approached Jesus in the night, the discussion with the Samaritan woman in Jacob's well, how he save the royal official son who was severely sick, how John the Baptist was been captured and etc.

Our life was damaged right from the moment our first parent disobeyed God but thanks to Jesus Christ for coming to our rescue, not just a rescue but he render a pure worship to his father, such that if we imitate we stand a chance of living an everlasting life, now it's my duty to remain in Jehovah's great spiritual temple.

In the three days of attending the region convention, I was nurture by Jesus pure worship, I learnt crucial lessons from his words, his miracle and above all, how to give Jehovah a pure worship. We concluded with a new song, listen below.
