My Neighborhood Watch #97 - Reporting Events Around us

JUST IN !!!

A Force majeure strike in IFA Atai in Uyo Local government, Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria. There's an ancient little forest closed to my residential home that has grown wild trees with long branches.

It was around 1 o'clock midnight when a great and heavy rain fall, not just an ordinary rain but such that came along with a powerful storm. We thought everything was safe but not until we wake up this morning to realized that the rain and storm had fallen second to the biggest tree in the forest.

To measure the length of how powerful the storm was; it didn't just fell the tree from it's root but dismantle almost all the root from the ground. But there's a sad news as there disadvantages.

The fallen tree in the forest had caused a severe collateral damage to a neighbor house. The tree while falling, it struck my neighbor fence which in returned caused it to breakdown, not just a single place but double which would demand a huge amount of money to rebuild.

Luckily for my neighbor, his main house was built inside of his land else the collateral damage might've goes deeper than what have already damaged. This situation have added an extra workload for my neighbor because he needs to clear the whole branches of trees to keep the surrounding clear incase a visitor wants to ride in.

Well we've decided to help him within our reach, we've assisted him in cutting down the branches of trees for today, tomorrow morning we'll focus on clearing the environment. It'll be a huge amount of money if he pays people to do the job but we the closest neighbors have willingly served as a friend in need.

To my future house owners, please let's be extra careful on the place we wish to build our house because building a residential home close to Forest or anywhere close to wild trees can be very risky and may definitely lead to unnecessary spending. I understand that building in place like this has gotten a significant advantage like natural fresh air and etc but on a second thought, let's always consider the disadvantages too.

Well this is all that I have gathered for today, I'll keep on updating you guys on the things happening in my neighborhood whenever possible, just stay tuned.
