Abasifreke Essien, my former trainee visited.
About 5 pm yesterday, Friday 26, I was deeply engrossed in my work, I was meticulously cropping out the background of pictures to be used for the design of a wedding programme. Suddenly, Abasifreke Essien, one of my former trainees walked in. It had been five years since Abasifreke graduated from my training program in graphic design, Microsoft Office, and Photoshop.
I couldn't believe how time had flown by. He had come a long way, establishing his own office and making a name for himself in the printing industry, his business name is "Zadiibonz Creationz".
He approached my desk with a wide smile spread across his face. "Master, how are you?" he asked with respect and admiration. I was touched by his greeting, and my heart swelled with pride. Abasifreke had always been a diligent and hardworking individual, and it was no surprise that he had achieved so much in such a short time.
But what struck me most was his loyalty and respect towards me, even after all these years. He still referred to me as "master," a term that warmed my heart and made me feel proud of the impact I had on his life.
As we chatted, Abasifreke noticed that I was struggling to meet up with the task at hand. Without hesitation, he offered to assist me with the task at hand. "Master, let me help you with the cropping," he said. I knew that he is perfect for the task, and I gladly accepted his offer.
As Abasifreke worked his magic, I reflected on the importance of building strong relationships with our trainees. As bosses, we often overlook the fact that our trainees are not just employees, but individuals who look up to us for guidance and mentorship. Abasifreke's visit was a poignant reminder that the relationships we build today can have a lasting impact on our lives tomorrow.
By treating our trainees with love, respect, and kindness, we not only help them grow professionally but also foster a sense of loyalty and gratitude that can last a lifetime.
As Abasifreke finished the task we sat and visited, then I felt a deep sense of gratitude and pride. I realized that my investment in him had not only paid off in his success but also in the strong bond we shared.
I made a mental note to continue nurturing my relationships with my trainees, knowing that it is these connections that truly matters in the end. As Abasifreke departed, I smiled, knowing that our friendship and mentorship will continue to flourish for years to come.
His visit had been a timely reminder of the power of building strong relationships and the importance of treating our trainees with the love, respect, and kindness they deserve.
Thank you for going through my post, do have a great time ahead.
