New task, new Assignment.
My three years old son, Prince is newly registered into Nursery/Primary School. He is just taking his first big step into the world of education,I can't wait to see him grow and learn. The registration process was smooth as I've given all the requirements and the registration form duly filled. He had already kick-start his lessons.
I was relieved to have completed all the necessary payment and paperwork. I thought to myself, "That's it, my responsibility is done for now. I've paid the fees, bought the books and educational materials, and settled him into his new class."
But little did I know, my responsibility was only just beginning. On Wednesday, September 17th, Prince came home from school with his first homework assignment. His class teacher had instructed him to trace numbers 1 and 2 to learn the full written numbers.
I sat down with Prince in the sitting room, and we began to work on his homework together. As we started tracing the numbers, I realized that I needed to explain the concept of written numbers to him in a way that he could understand. That's when I was introduced to the illustration way of writing numbers.
Number 1 was represented as "a stroke,' a simple yet effective way to help young children remember the shape of the number. Number 2 was illustrated as "a curve and a dash,' another clever way to break down the number into recognizable parts.
As we worked on the homework together, I was amazed at how quickly Prince picked up the concepts. He is in Baby Foundation 1 class, and it is clear that his teacher is doing an excellent job of teaching him the fundamentals.
As we finished the homework, I felt accomplished. Not only Prince was learning and growing, but I was also learning alongside him. This new task of doing homework with Prince is not only a responsibility but also an opportunity to bond with my child and watch him develop into a bright and curious young mind.
I was happy to take on this new task, and I looked forward to many more homework sessions with Prince. It is going to be a fun and rewarding journey, and I am grateful to be a father.
Thank you for going through my post, do have a great time ahead.
