This Is How I Spent My Time With My Friends And Big Bro Back Then, Before I Traveled

Bless this day oh Lord.
Back then, before I traveled, life felt simple and full. Every moment I shared with my friends and my big brother is a memory I now hold close to my heart. We didn’t need anything fancy — just each other, some free time, and a place to hang out.

My friends and I used to spend our days exploring the neighborhood. Whether it was riding bikes, playing football in the dusty fields, or just sitting around sharing jokes and stories, it felt like time stood still. We laughed over the silliest things, teased each other endlessly, and yet, we were always there for one another. The bonds we shared were built on trust, loyalty, and countless shared adventures — the kind of friendships that are hard to find again.

My big brother was a big part of those memories too. He was more than just an older sibling — he was a role model, a protector, and sometimes even a partner in mischief. I remember the late-night talks we’d have, sitting under the stars or by the window, talking about life, dreams, and everything in between. He always had a way of making things feel okay, even when I was uncertain or scared.

Sometimes he would take us — me and a few of my friends — out for snacks or to play video games. He treated us like we mattered, like we were more than just kids hanging around. And when he shared stories from his own life, we listened like students to a wise teacher.

Now that I’m away, I miss all of it — the laughter, the silly arguments, the shared meals, and the long walks home after the sun had set. I miss my friends’ voices and my brother’s calm presence. Life has moved on, but part of my heart is still back there, in those familiar streets and familiar faces.

I didn’t realize then how precious those days were. But now I do. I carry those memories with me every day, and I hope one day I’ll get to relive even a small part of them again. Until then, I’ll hold on tight to the love and laughter we shared.
