My cooking skills// Cooking one of my delicious meals, Yam and Egg sauce [30:05:2025]
On Friday, May 30th, 2025, I returned home from school, craving something satisfying. I decided to cook one of my favourite dishes: boiled yam with eggs sauce.
After changing out of my school clothes, I headed to the market to buy the necessary ingredients. My shopping list included:
• A big tuber of yam
• Five fresh eggs
• curry leaves
• Groundnut oil
• Fresh tomatoes
• Fresh pepper
• Onions
• Seasoning Maggi and
• Salt.

PREPARATION PROCESS
Once I was back home, I started preparing the meal. I peeled the yam, chopped it into small cubes, and boiled it until it was cooked through.
Next, I cracked the eggs into a plate and stirred them well to mix. I washed and chopped the curry leaves and onions, placing them in separate plates.

In a pot, I heated some groundnut oil over the fire for three minutes. Then, I added salt, Maggi, and onions, stirring everything together. After that, I poured in the egg mixture and finally added the chopped curry leaves. I stirred everything very well, allowing the mixture to solidify and thicken.

Once the eggs sauce was ready, I turned off the heat and scooped the boiled yam onto a plate, topping it with the delicious eggs sauce. The aroma and flavours combined perfectly, and I thoroughly enjoyed my tasty meal.
