Explain gluttony and how a person with such behaviours can be identified.

I understand gluttony as a habit in which someone eats or drinks abnormally, beyond what the body needs. They take it as fun to eat too much, even when they are not hungry.
It can even become a person's habit of wanting more of everything, rather than just food.

How to identify a gluttonous person

A person with this behaviour thinks about food all the time. They may choose food over everything, and won't even like to associate with others.
They likely eat food in large amounts and are always eating very fast; even when they are full, they find it difficult to stop eating.

Do you think a gluttonous person can be likened to just food and drinks? Explain.

Gluttony isn't about food and drinks only, just like a person will want to satisfy themselves with much food and drinks, they may also have some arrogant behaviours.

They may desire to get everything in excess, like money, certain items, comfort, etc. and every else that will make them happy rather than food.

What is your view of this? Do you think it's a natural situation or something one can manage or control? Tell us.

Yes, in most cases, it's natural; gluttony may arise from childhood behaviours, stress or emotional pain. Just like everyone finds pleasure in doing certain things, others may find pleasure in eating too much.

But it can also be controlled; it requires one's determination and mindset, including support. Gradually, they will overcome their desires for too much food and other things.

What advice do you have for people who find themselves in such a condition?

My advice to people facing gluttony. You shouldn't hate yourself for being that way; you just have to determine and take the steps to overcome these habits.

Reexamine yourself and find out the possible reasons that arise in the situation. If it's for pleasure, try tapping into another means of getting pleasure, maybe playing games or hanging out with friends.

Try not to eat too much, drink water before a meal so that you won't eat much. Do it gradually and watch yourself to see if there are improvements.

If you find it hard doing it yourself, seek help from any trusted person. Always engage yourself in activities that will keep you busy and take your mind away from food.

Gluttony is indeed a bad habit; many people are facing it. But you can control it if you are determined to. If you successfully get out of it, you will like yourself for taking that step.

I will invite @alevina121, @precious9 and @alyjay to share their own idea on this...
