My Neighbourhood Watch #103- Reporting Events Around Us

The event that takes place in my Neighbourhood is the grand reception of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu along with the Senate President of Nigeria , Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio by the State Governor, Pastor Umoh Bassey Eno and his cabinet members.

The visitation is motivated on the fact that the State governor has just resigned or defected from the main opposition party in the country, People's Democratic Party(PDP) to All Progressive Congress (APC)which is the ruling party led by the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Event which takes place at the Nest of Champions (Godswill Akpabio International Stadium), Uyo Akwa Ibom State, witnessed the present of different groups to welcome the President. These include; Political groups, Stake holders, Social mobilizers, Women's groups, Youth's group, Local Government Chairmen and all newly defected EXCO members in the state were not left out.

I couldn't go inside the Stadium because of some reasons. But standing outside, I was able to spot different political groups on their colourful paraphernalia to grace the occasion. Also, there were heavy presence of Security Personnels to ensure safety and maintenance of law and order.
The number of people and groups that trooped out of the arena, was a clear indication that the 30,000 sitting capacity of the Stadium was filled to it's brim.
