Hello steemit team!!

Am so happy to present my solo application for steemit challenge season 25, where I share my idea on what I intend to bring to the table.

About me

My name is ruthjoe, I am from Nigeria and I have been on steemit since February 2021 and I have observed that amongst all the challenges that has been hosted, there has not been a challenge to unwind, let's say more like fun challenge to ease stress. To this regard I thought of movie snapshot!!

I speak English and a few local languages of my country. I am Mod in Steem4Nigeria, ladies universe and an admin in steem-agro. With these have been able to serve and interact with many users.

I am dedicated and committed, hence I have been on this platform for 4 years. I make quality contents and support steemians with my Steem power by voting and commenting. I also stand with the steemit team, supporting her initiatives and projects.

I love seeing movies and I write articles on movies which I call movie highlights where I bring to movie lovers trending movies for entertainment, fun and learning.

Seeing a movie is one of the ways to cool off or ease off stress. There are many users who are too busy to even see a movie, they are always busy working and there are those that love movies like me. This idea will help each user relax their nerves, keep them entertained and learn new things about life.

Movie snapshot is an idea where users and given task centered on movies. They get to see a movie, and interact with the movie by answering certain questions asked. Doing so , they are not just having fun but are also learning and teaching others.

Draft schedule for 6 weeks challenge

Week 1: "Around the World"

Watch a movie not of your country's origin or outside your home country.

• Talk about the main idea of the movie
• Share the characters,
• Describe the plot and setting of the movie.
• If you were the Director of the movie what will you do different?

Objective: Explore international cinema and cultural storytelling.

Week 2: "Book to Screen"

• Do you think, an idea is better written as a book/novel or acted out as a movie? And which do you prefer?

• Watch any movie adapted from a book or novel

• From the movie you have watched above, what can you say about the strength and weakness of the movie compared to the book/novel but if you have not read the book then tell us what captivated you the most in the movie and if you were to write a book on the movie how would that part be written to captivate the reader?

Objective: Compare storytelling across mediums.

Week 3: "Hidden Gems"

• Mention 5 lesser-known or underrated movie you have seen before

• Discuss your reasons for saying these movies you have mentioned are lesser known or underrated movies.

• What do you think can be done to make these movies better known or valued more.

Objective: Discover movies that flew under the radar.

Week 4: "Time Travel & Twists"

• Watch a movie that involves time travel or a major plot twist.

• In no more than 1000 words write about the movie.

Objective: Dive into complex, thought-provoking plots.

Week 5 : "Animated Magic"

• What are animated movies or film?

• Watch an animated film (any age group, any style).

• Which age group prefers the animated film you have seen above and say why?

• Mention some of the challenges you went through while watching the animated film if there always no challenge, tell us the things that interest you In the movie.

Objective: Appreciate the artistry and storytelling of animation.

Week 6: "Your Life on Screen"

• Watch a movie that reflects a part of your identity, culture, or experience.

• Mention 5 things from the movie that motivated you to keep pushing in life.

• Who was your favorite character? And why?

• Mention at least 2 movies you have seen this year that inspired you and why they did.

Objective: Make it personal and reflective.
