What do you understand by courtesy? Explain

In my opinion, courtesy simply means the right pattern of how things should be done. Courtesy is not a law but can work as a set of rules to guide people.

It's very dangerous for humans to live with courtesy because people will hurt other people even without knowing it and things will even go wrong.

One example of courtesy is children are expected to greet their parents when they wake up in the morning.

Courtesy cam be expressed in words and in action...

Yes Courtesy is so important and I think it should be observed.

Like I said above without humans observing courtesy many things will go wrong here in earth.

Imagine entering a bank hall to withdraw money and every customer there are on their phones picking and answering phone calls aloud, how will that banking hall look like? Disaster!

Also imagine getting to a particular part of a road and notice the traffic light is working well but the road users are not keeping to the traffic light. Everyone is just moving up and down. There will be casualties and accidents.

So courtesy helps us live right! Courtesy helps us show tributes and respect.

Name five instances where courtesy is demanded in your culture

• Courtesy demands that when a young person sees those older than him he should greet them

• Courtesy demands that when that when shaking hands with an older person you should use your two hands.

• Courtesy demands that when giving something or receiving something to someone you should use your right hand.

• Courtesy demands that you show appreciation by saying the word thank you when someone helps you out or does something for you.

• Courtesy demands that you obey traffic rules.

State instances where courtesy was neglected. Maybe you witnessed it or someone told you

I recently went through so much stress and pain to do something for someone. It even rained heavily while I was trying to do go out of my way to make sure it worked and the rain beate well.

I was done and delivered it to the person. I was expecting a thank you as a form of appreciation. Only to be neglected. This person acted as if it was his right to be helped.

I felt really bad because I got sick helping out. No form of appreciation. Courtesy demanded that I be appreciated but it went the other way. Humans sometimes are funny. And they will ask you why you are angry when you eventually get angry as if when done to them they can stand it.

My stand is very clear. Courtesy is good and should be observed else there will be so much commotion.
