Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 96: This is Me.
Hello, good day, my dear Steemian friends. I am not a special person, but an ordinary person. Like others, I, too, have special feelings, memories, and emotions to define me. Let's join and read to learn about me.

What's something that always makes you smile?
Whenever I hear the children’s joyful laughter, I feel happy. When they are playing with laughter, I feel happy in my heart.
Children are like flowers. Their joy is pure. Their hearts are full of love and affection. I don't need much money to bring a smile to my face. But I can do it with the love, laughter, and friendliness of kids.
What's your favorite way to spend a day off?
Since I spend my days quietly and happily, I consider every day of the week to be a day off. Usually, I'm rising early and enjoying my hot cup of tea while seated nearer the window. I stroll through my garden later. A new flower that is blooming in my garden catches my attention. As I am a nature lover, that flower brings me immense joy. It helps me to start my day energetically.
I do my routine, listening to old songs, which helps me to finish the duties without much effort. These days, my special work is looking after my grandson. As soon as I finish my routine, I go to see his adorable activities.
I even spend my time with my pet, Beenu, who follows me like a shadow.
Is there any skill you'd love to learn and why?
Yes, I want to improve my cooking style. To be honest, I'm not very good at cooking. I believe it requires ability. I don't want to become a professional chef, but I'm trying, since I want to feed my family healthy and delicious food. I desire to see my family’s joyful faces at the dining table.
I keep trying even if I'm not the best at it. I frequently watch YouTube cooking videos to learn new techniques and recipes. For pleasure, I occasionally try traditional dishes, and other times I try new ones. When my family says, "It is delicious," I am overjoyed.
I believe, making meals for the family is a way to express love and affection. I therefore want to get better at making healthy and delicious meals for my family. One day, I want to be a good chef who brings joy from every meal.
What's something you're grateful for, and why?
I am deeply grateful for my family. Life is not an easy one. There were times I felt tired, sad, or lost. But, since my family always stood by my side, I could achieve all without much tired. They are my blessing, their love giving me strength.
In addition, I am also thankful for the small joys in my life. The things that make me happy are fresh air, my grandson's adorable smile, and my companion, Beenu's care.
What's the favorite memory you have of yourself?
A favorite memory of mine is the day my son received a fully funded scholarship to pursue a PhD in engineering in the United Kingdom. I still remember the moment he shared with us that good news. My eyes filled with tears, not for sadness but for joy and pride.
He worked hard for years. He had an aim and dreams. He wanted to further improve his studies in a foreign country. For that, he worked hard and made many commitments. This scholarship was like a reward for those efforts and commitments. You are all aware that nothing feels better to a mother than seeing her children's success.
That day, we celebrated as a family. I made him his favorite dishes and talked about his journey ahead. I was proud, but deep inside, I was emotional. Even though he went too far away, I knew he had a bright future. It was the moment that always shines in my mind as one of the happiest days.
