Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 91: The phase of my life I would never like to experience again.
Hello my steemian friends,
This is my participation in the Contest Week 98: The phase of my life I would never like to experience again.by @steem4nigeria in Steem4Nigeria
What do you understand by difficult/challenging phase of life?
Difficult and challenging phases of life are those which destroy our normal life. We need a lot of courage and patience to go through this phase. Many people break down or go into depression during such times. Many people even take suicidal steps if they are not able to recover from such times.
Have you ever experienced a tough phase in your life that almost broke you? If yes, share with us.
This competition reminded me of my bitter experiences of the past. In those days, I used to run a drug manufacturing company and was also an officer in a government department. But due to excessive workload in the drug company, I had taken leave from my government post and intended to resign from the government post after my manufacturing unit was well established.
But God had something else in store for me. I came into contact with a dishonest man as a partner. In those days, my unit was an emerging company and for its expansion and progress, I used to work day and night outside. I did not get time to look after the drug manufacturing in the factory.
I was always busy in promoting and marketing the medicines outside the city. My company's products had started getting established. Our company had also got the contract to supply all the medicines in Himachal Pradesh, a state of India. I was very satisfied and I felt that my dreams were coming true.
But my dishonest friend partner manipulated the manufacturing of medicines and made substandard medicines and these were supplied to Himachal Pradesh. There, random samples of our medicines were taken for quality control and two of those samples were found to be substandard.
As a result, my company was blacklisted and cases were filed against our company and directors, we were also fined, our licenses were cancelled, payments for our medicines were stopped, our securities were seized.
We had to spend a lot of money on lawyers. Wages, electricity bills and other expenses continued and income dried up. The only good thing was that only that dishonest partner of mine was sentenced to jail, the rest of the partners had to pay only fines.
But that dishonest partner returned from jail and became a partner of the new owners of my factory and continued to be involved in the manufacturing of substandard medicines with them.
How did you overcome that period?
My financial condition became zero, my bank account ran out of money, my bank loan kept increasing, then I decided to sell the factory building and machines to another businessman.
I rejoined my government job and then life returned to normal with great difficulty. I kept repaying loans from people and banks etc. for many years.
I learnt only one lesson from this incident that in future do only those things which are within your control, trusting others blindly can be detrimental.
If you are offered one million dollars to go through that bad phase again, will you do it happily?
According to Indian currency, the value of 1 $ is equal to 84 rupees. If I had received your offer then I would have really agreed to go through that situation again in exchange for 1 million $ because that incident had only caused me financial losses which could have been compensated by this much money, but after getting this much money my financial condition would have become even better.
I also want to invite here @sualeha @tammanna @suryati1
Thanks for reading my post, I pray to God for the progress and happy future of all Steemians.
