Candid Advice For Our Young Men

My fellow steemians and members of steem4nigeria community I am here to educate you on something you may not be familiar with. This time it's about young men and learning. Just read through and learn from me instead of learning it the hard way.

This goes out to all the young men out there.

The worse thing for a young man is to be mentally stranded. Personal development is the greatest gift you can give yourself. You want much, but you know very little.

Go and read. Learn. Develop yourself. Invest in skills. Travel. Get exposed. Get mentored. Grow. When you grow, life will give you more. Stop getting stuck. No man is born wise.

Knowledge and skill is acquired through years of study, service, pursuit, use and exposure. You are not cursed; you are only ignorant and mentally stranded. If you don’t read, you won’t know. If you don’t submit to men wiser than you, you will waste years repeating their mistakes.

Dear young man, be teachable. Invest in books. Invest in skills. Invest in mentorship. Seek exposure. Everything you are chasing is already written down. Every answer you need has been recorded. Every help you require is in the hands of a man. There is nothing new under the sun.

Life is not a recent invention. Settle down and learn. Develop hunger for knowledge, discipline, and character. Serve faithfully. Grow steadily. Rise surely.

Ignorance and pride are the greatest enemies of young men. Kill them. Be willing to look like a fool so you can one day be called wise. Invest in your growth and leave goofy people behind.
That is how you rise.
