My Neighborhood Watch #114 - Reporting Events Around us
Men at Work
Hello fellow steemians and members of this prestigious community how are you doing today? I hope all is well!? Happy weekend. Before I continue I want to thank @xkool24 for organizing this amazing contest in this prestigious community. I am here to share with you the report of event of this week in my street. Imoh street off Urua Ekpa road. In Itu local government area Akwa Ibom State. This part of the town is also among the metropolitan area of the city.
The gutter erection
I personally applaud the present administration of the state government for their efforts and continuous provision/improvement in the basic amenities. It apparently speaks a lot. You know they say, "Action speaks louder than words". That true in this case. almost all the citizens have seen his good deeds physically.
Bags of cement pilled up for work
Governor Umoh Bassey Eno has been awarded the best governor of the year 2025 because of his excellent deeds. He's one of the best governor Akwa Ibomites can literally give credits to for his achievement in just 2 years and a half. I don't meant to be braggadocios the man is good. We can see his doings around us.
Some shops closed while some still struggle to open daily
His administration can actually boast of so many achievements in just a few years of his rulership. I'm here to express the little benefit I have also been a part of. I guess he has awarded so many contracts for road building , repairs and linkings/connections in the heart of the town.
Urua Ekpa road is one of the notable achievement among other achievement by the said administration. That road was deserted years ago due to erosion. The road and its environs was completely forsaken. The houses and other erected structure in that area were completely uninhibited. People stayed away from the area.
To cut the long story short, Recently my street is under construction just after the finishing of Urua Ekpa road. This is true dividend of democracy to the people of my street and its environs. So I decided to share this good news with you all. I'm so excited. This will bring development and visibility to Imoh street. This might push me to rent a shop in my street.
Going out today for my usual business as an artist I decided to take pictures of the construction process. This building process has disturbed a lot of business movement due to the termination of movement in the street. Vehicles no longer use the road for now. I just hope they would finish it before the ending of this year.
Once the road is completed I will apparently share with you guys how the road looks like.
Stay tuned.
