My Neighborhood Watch #103 - Reporting Events Around us

Hello Everyone

How's everything going? I have something to talk about that's related to my neighborhood and it is a situation whereby I was one of those involved. For a long time I haven't participated in this contest and is good am participating in it again. I thank @xkool24 for organizing this contest.

When this month started, my football teammates and I were preparing for our first match in this year's youth football competition for the guys. We played our first match on the 7th of this month but I will be focusing on the things that happened on our first day of training. I was even feeling reluctant to join the training that morning but am glad I successfully joined it.

I checked messages in our Whatsapp group to be sure there's still training that morning before I went there. Alot of the players didn't arrive at the church compound on time and we had to wait before training fully starts. We didn't have a football field that's available for hiring that is why we were training in the church compound that day.

More players came and we all jogged together and did some exercises. Everyone were selected to different teams and we started playing normal football just to keep us more fit especially for most guys that haven't been opportuned to play football for sometime. The training was marvellous and we all enjoyed it. I felt stronger that morning while playing and I was happy I didn't miss training for that day.

You need to see how the players were all seriously training. We want to win this competition by all means. Last year we took the second picture and this year we are aiming for the first position. I was so happy when I was invited to join the team, I didn't play in 2023 when this competition was carried out last because I was much younger then, it was altar servers competition I participated in last year.

When the training finally came to an end, the vice president of the Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (CYON), in our parish Stella Maris Catholic Church, addressed everyone and told us to ensure that we all come with our passport next time because it will be needed by the officials of the tournament, to screen all the players.

I couldn't take pictures with my phone because I was busy training with my fellow players.
