Hi everyone i am fine and I hope that you all will be also fine and would be doing great work at Steemit .Today I am here to participate in a contest in the Steem Agro Community.
This contest is about the agriculture .So now I will participate in this contest by answering some of the contest questions and they are ;
Discuss about soil Degradation |

So the soil degration means that the soil is made of poor quality due to bad soil management due to which the plants are grown very poorly.There are also some types of soil degradration.which are ;
- Compaction which is caused by machinery bad use.
- Erosin caused by the wind and also due to the water.
- Loss of soil structure.
The causes are many but I will tell you all about some of the causes which affect soil degradation;
- Deforestration.
- Urbanization.
- Poor Irregation management.
- Overgazing.
- Intensive agriculture.
Soil Degradation has a big bad effect on the global warming it does not only affect onle one country but many countries.

The causes of soil degradation are many but Now I will tell about some of the causes .These are ;
- Deforestration.
- Urbanization.
- Poor Irregation .
- Overgazing.
- Intensive agriculture.
DEFORESTATION :
Cutting of forests in easy words cutting of tree can led to the Soil degradation.
Overgazing :
When there are many animals eating plants led to the soil degradation.
Poor Irregation :
The buildup of the salt in the soil led to the Soil degradation .
Urbanization :
Building of the roads and buildings can damage the soil.
Intensive agriculture :
Growing the the dame fruit or crop again and again removes the specific nutrients from the soil.

Some of the soil degradation effects are as under ;
- Climate change .
- water scarcity.
- Loss of soil fertility.
- Food insecurity.
- Reduced agriculture productivity.
Climate change :
The degraded soil adding Carbon to air which makes Global warming .
water scarcity :
Degrated soil can not hold the water well as the proper soil can.
Loss of soil fertility :
Degrated soil removes some nutrient from the soil making the soil less productive.
Food insecurity :
In degrated soil less crops grow means less food .also some countries are also dependent to agriculture.
Reduced agriculture productivity :
In degrated soil less crops will grow and automatical the prices of the crop will increase.

The possible solution of soil degradation are many but I will about some of them .They are as under ;
- Afforestation And Reforestation.
- Organic farming.
- Soil fertility management.
- Controlled grazing.
- Conservation Agriculture.
Afforestation And Reforestation :
Planting trees help to make a soil protected from the soil degradation.
Organic farming :
Using organic fertilixers instead of the chemcal fertilizers.
Soil fertility management :
Add nutrients to the soil to make it healthier.
Controlled grazing :
Rotate animals to prevent from the overgazing and the grass to regrow.
Conservation Agriculture :
Doing rotation farming to make the crops healthy.
