Animal Activities #26

Turkey is one of the domestic animals that are easily reared by humans in their various houses. Some sell it for commercial purposes while others eat it with their family once they mature.

We have local turkeys as well as hybrid ones. Sometimes, turkeys are not usually easy to sell, except if you find someone in your area who is selling frozen fish and chicken. Negotiate with him or her about the price; once they agree, you are good to go.

Turkeys have much weight once they mature, and at the same time, they cannot fly high, but mostly they feed on the ground. Domestic turkeys normally change colors on their heads; in fact, some change to red or blue depending on how happy they are. Newly born domestic turkeys can be identified by their feces. The male turkey excreta will look like a 'J' whereas the female will have another shape. Turkeys are killed on every occasion, such as naming ceremonies, weddings, graduations from college, or during retirement celebrations.

Many restaurants in Nigeria like to sell turkey because that is what their customers request, and fried turkey is sold in those restaurants because it tastes delicious and satisfies customers. Currently, I am rearing local turkey, and it needs proper management and monitoring so that its life can be protected. The most common turkey disease is fowl pox.

The turkey that was in my custody had fowl pox, but I do have everything that is necessary to ensure they respond to treatment. That's why I went to the veterinary medicine store to purchase anti-pox for quick recovery. Turkey plays an essential role due to the health benefits it provides for humans in order to acquire all the necessary nutrients we need. Turkey, as a domestic animal, likes to feed on grass so that it can get the nutrients it needs.

I would like to invite @josepha, @sana-khan01 and @rossnenye to participate in this contest.

MODs Comment/Recommendation:
This is a good movement from you, I love turkey but I haven't had much of it though. Seems you're really into agriculture, the anti-pox will help the turkey.
