Discuss on The Role of Irrigation on Modern Agriculture

Hello friends and I would love to take part in this great contest and would definitely share my thoughts seamlessly too.
Irrigation has been a lifeline in the agricultural sector, we no longer depend on the climate for our crops to bloom, most especially in the Sahara regions. We have some of the roles of Irrigation on modern agriculture.
Most lands which are abandoned due to hazards or some natural disaster are reclaimed through Irrigation system, after well treated agricultural process, these places are transformed being alive again, thereby providing enabling environment for the farming system to take place and crops to be properly groomed.
Most soil are saline soil concentrated in salt especially soil around the coal infested regions and high mountain lands. Therefore Irrigation system is a proper avenue to redeem these soil topology as it provides room for draining off the saline soil and also resolving to dilute the saline and bring forth a proper soil for the farming system, thereby improving the soil topology and embracing the farming system.

Irrigation in drought infested areas is a solution to climate changes making these zones suitable for agriculture and bringing solution to climate change issues subsequently. Therefore areas of land without natural water can still yield the best of crops at the time being and a successful farming expedition as a result of the irrigation system put in place.
Water is a natural resource seen in various water bodies, remaining irrelevant to agriculture if not put to use. Irrigation recycled water from water bodies, treating them properly and channeling it to the relevant areas where crops use for sustainable growth and vitality. Irrigation is indeed a major backbone in agriculture and would remain a sustainable practice to growth of crops and livelihood of the farming system in our world today.
