In some communities, domestic animals such as goat, pigs, and cows are not allowed to move about during the farming season until the farming season is over. But in the land of Akumba, it is not like that, as the people of Akumba are always open to welcoming visitors into their land.

Akumba are hospitality people and great farmers who have animals like dogs, cats, and goats, but animals like cows they don't have. During farming season, animals that feed on grass and crops aren't allowed to walk freely to prevent them from eating other people's crops.

When an animal that feeds on grass is seen on someone's farmland during farming season, the owner of the animal will have to compensate the owner of the farm, or the animal will be killed instantly without delay.

Mr. Bassey is a great farmer, and Mr Tony is into rearing animals such as goats, pigs, and cattle in the same community. Mr. Tony is a law-abiding person in the community, and he always ensures that his animals don't enter someone's farm.

As a law-abiding person, Mr. Tony always checks up on his animals, but there came a time when two of his goats broke out of their house (gate) and ran into Mr. Bassey's farmland. Out of anger, Mr Bassey shot and killed two of Mr Tony's goat, and trouble started between Mr Bassey and Tony, which we shall know about in our next story.
