I was done with my exams and just about to leave the school with friends when I stumbled on this eye catching coconut tree, standing firm by the roadside.
It quickly reminds me of the one at my Grandma's place, which I enjoy eating a lot. Most times, I will pluck it and use it to cook coconut rice.
I couldn't resist fascinating coconut tree, so I quickly brought out my phone and took pictures of it.
Coconut may just be a fruit, but it amazing gift from nature that makes it outstanding.

Coconut has turned out to be one of the greatest sources of income for many families, aiding their survival too.
Most people prefer it so much on hot days, when crafting something cold and fresh. This has made people begin selling coconuts by the road to make a living.
It can be processed into coconut oil for cooking, as a haircare substance and for skin care.
Even the hard shell could be used to make a beautiful work of art, for beautifying our homes and surroundings.
Like in Akwa Ibom State, where we have so many coconut plants, most farmers make a lot of money from exporting them in bulk.
They are even used in industries for the production of several products, like coconut milk and coconut flour.

Especially the coconut water, which is like a refreshing drink, when tired or thirsty, just a sip can revive and strengthen you completely. It helps in digestion and prevents dehydration.
The coconut oil is a reliable source for hair care and skin care, as it improves hair growth and softens the skin.
The white flesh of the coconut can be eaten raw or cooked, it's very rich in fats.

The coconut tree plays a very important role in beautifying and protecting our environment.
In areas where there are seas or rivers, or areas mostly facing erosion, the long roots help hold the soil together, preventing it from being washed away by water.
The tree also serves as a home for insects. It serves as a shade and helps refresh the air.
Coconut may be seen as a mere fruit, but it has turned out to be the greatest means of people's survival.
Currently, I have just two stands of coconut trees planted by me, so I will also encourage young people like me to see the need to plant an economic tree like the coconut.
It's one of the most unique creations of nature, with great benefits.

ناریل ایک ایسا پھل ہے جو کہ زیادہ تر ممالک میں پایا جاتا ہے جہاں ذریعہ ہوں یا سمندر ہوں۔میری امی بھی کراچی میں رہتی ہیں اور وہاں ناریل قبا کثرت پایا جاتا ہے میری امی کے گھر کے باہر بھی ناریل کا درخت لگا ہوا ہے۔مگر اس کے اوپر چڑھنا بہت مشکل ترین کام ہے کیونکہ وہ بہت اونچا ہے اور اس کا پھل بہت لذیذ اور ذائقہ دار ہے۔ہم جب بھی کراچی جاتے ہیں تو امی ضرور بھائیوں کو کہہ کے سیڑھی منگاتی ہیں اور بھائی سیڑھی سے چڑھ کے کوکونٹ اتارتے ہیں
Yes coconut are very delicious fruits, but most times they grow so tall that we can't reach them to pluck the fruit.
In my place we normally use climbing ropes made fruit palm, and use it to climb such coconut trees.
