Animal Activities #26
Hello everyone On this occasion I want to participate in a contest held by @xkool24 about Alert Contest | Animal Activity #26 following my previous entry I would like to invite my friends @sabbirakib @anjinoor @chiagoziee to participate in this contest
Timo is his name, a light brown village dog with a crooked tail that never fails to wag energetically whenever his owner returns. Timo is not an expensive kind of dog. He was birthed from a stray mother dog that used to roam about the Market. But he has been looked after since he was a child by Mr. Gito, a retired teacher who lives on the outskirts of town.
Each day, Timo became more of a dog. At home, and whenever Mr. Gito goes to the rice field or to the shop, not only does he go with Mr. Gito. They also know Timo very well, he is a dog who always comes along with Pak Gito with its peaceful walk next to him.
Timo has a unique habit. Each and every morning before the cock crows he will be waiting in front the door for Pak Gito to come out and take a walk. If Pak Gito oversleeps, Timo breaks the silence with his soft barking to rouse his master. And then, they walk along the peaceful small road and take a deep breath, all the while hearing the gurgling of the small little river that runs by the village.
It was a quiet afternoon and Pak Gito was dozing when Timo continued to bark in the yard. Pak Gito initially thought it was just an ordinary noise. But Timo was barking like mad, like a warning. When Pak Gito stepped out, he saw dark smoke starting to pour from his empty neighbor’s kitchen.
Not long, Pak Gito and some people who heard Timo’s barking ran to extinguish the fire before it spread. Both would have perished in the flames, had it not been for Timo’s instinct, and good nose.
Ever since, Timo has been known not just as a faithful dog, but as a village hero. Hundreds showed up to bring him food or toys. But for Timo, simply being with Mr. Gito was the most significant thing.
In his old age, Mr. Gito often said, "If I'm not here later, maybe only Timo will miss me the most."
And it's true, for Timo, Mr. Gito is not just an employer. He is home, the place where his heart returns, until the end of his life.
