I sense it more interesting to be part to this week knowledge sharing in agriculture, I personally thought I'm not yet too late for this.

With the hints of discussion for the week , it is indeed kind of reflection on where the agriculture got from to the presence.

That in terms of an origination of agriculture, the practice and nature of significant development involved to date.

With that, now I can head up to the week hints ,so as to see through and get discuss on them as might required.

"Define Mechanized farming in your own words"

Farming have been long endured before the mechanized farming get surfaced so briefly.

Mechanized Farming can be define as that modern system of farming that actually replaced traditional system of farming on the large scale proportional measures.

And can also refers to be the capital intensive system of farming where sophisticated machineries and equipments are used to carry out farming related activities such as land plowing , planting , irrigating , pesticides spraying ,harvesting and even (processing of agricultural or farming produce) automatically.

The importance of mechanized farming are quite enormous. To begins with so as to know , what it means to cultivate a large scale farm or commercial farming cultivation.

Before the large scale nature of farming in agriculture become these efficients , high production and quality agricultural produce. Had been kind of tedious and stressful traditional system of farming, which can be only suitable for the small scale nature of farming or that of subsistence nature of farming. System of farming where traditional tools like hoes , machete ,spade ,shovels ,and heavy loads carriers then they usually used animals like donkeys , 🐫 camels and 🏇 horses whiled the actual cultivation activities are then carried by humans effort. Then , were absolute labour intensive system of farming composed of lack of sufficient food and sustainable agricultural produce as the direct result from poor farming management , low quality of farm produce and low yield of agriculture or farm produce.

With that the required mechanized farming importance can be as follows:

For better understanding for those mechanized farming importance that I listed , here I would be taken them in sequence.

Commercialization priority : The mechanized farming offering farmer's and the governments golden opportunities to engage into the farming, because of the nature and the benefits upon successful cultivation and maturity of grown crops to the yielding and edible states. The truth is mechanized farming can't be done within a given subsistence nature of farming.

Consciousness priority: With mechanized farming the time and energy wastage has been fully eliminated. Unlike the traditional based or labour intensive where the farmers used more than a month to clear and cultivate hectares of farmland, kind of staged in which the farmers waste both their time , energy and little available money they have to cultivate low yield and quality agricultural produce.

High efficiency and capacity : The mechanized farming is being known for high efficiency the nature of ability to perform with precision beyond humans related efforts and to cover larger portion such that no amount or number of farmers could handle within stipulated time such as couple of days or a week.

High yield and quality production: Mechanized farming is the kind of farming system that required large investment of money that would covered not just the needed machineries , and equipments but also enough supply of waters for irrigation, possible fertilizers and pesticides to Foster and facilitate high yield and quality agricultural related production. Indeed mechanized farming has the potential to initiate high yield and quality farming produce to the farmers and for the nation leading to availability of food and food security.

Economics and opportunities: Mechanized farming is actually the revenue driven source to the government , via direct tax from the Mechanized farmland and that same more as tariff placed on agricultural produce related export.
Moreso the mechanized farming is more as the breeding ground for the young ones, in the sense that , mechanized farming attract the young people to go into the field of agriculture with a prepared heart and readiness. While the old farmers during less or labour intensive farming days also get themselves fix up within the other side of the economy.

The realty is that almost everything in life with the positives side also likely with the negatives.

So with that as appreciative as the mechanized farming seems no different.

• Mechanized farming make the commercial farming and farming business in general attractive to the young people

• Mechanized farming contribute to the food sustainability and food security

• Mechanized farming eliminated such low yield and production found during labour intensive farming, with productivity ,high yield and quality farming produce

• Mechanized farming enable farmers to make more money and income in farming business

• Mechanized farming help farmers to implement best farm management system from the plowing and cultivation level to the harvest, processed and storage for applicable farming produce.

Disadvantages

• The concentration of heavy duty machine like tractor as the direct result from the mechanized farming can destroy soil structure and texture within the farmland area.

• Mechanized farming set to become inactive and bored via the associated large sum of investing capital ,in which only the rich farmers or government can afford

• Mechanized farming ,their sophisticated machineries and equipments involved might be useless due to the high cost for maintenance , and lack of some kind spare parts when spoiled.

• Mechanized farming potentially create unemployment due to their nature for handling all associated farming activities,as the give rooms no more for labour intensive in large scale farming
