There is usually immediate service and a vaccine when a human is bitten by an animal or clawed.

It was March 7th, my son was going out around ten o'clock at night suddenly the dog blocked his way, my son couldn't go anyway. Then the dog wants to touch him then a scratch on the dog's nail is cut off by my son's hand. My son disinfected the wash well with soap without telling us anything and showed us the dog nail scratch area.

What to do if a dog bites?

The bite site where dogs can bite is to be washed with detergent soap for 15 to 20 minutes by soap foam. This will instantly destroy any germs from the dog's saliva or if the dog's nails contain germs.
Usually dog bites cause rabies. Death is inevitable if rabies prevention symptoms occur, so preventive vaccination is required.

In our country there are infectious hospitals to provide vaccination and medical care for rabies disease in Mohakhali and every year the government of our country provides free vaccination for this disease.
Rabies vaccination is given in government hospitals in every district.

So I'm also aware of cleaning my son's hand well with soap detergent, 15 minute wash with alkali-added soap.No government infectious disease hospitals will be open this night. And within 24 hours this rabies vaccine has to be given.

On the morning of the 8th March,2025 we brought my son to the Rabies Control and Eradication Center Mohakhali Infectious Hospital.

First I bought a ticket from Counter 1 as a new patient for 10 taka and with this ticket first I had to go to the Emergency Medical Officer and he diagnosed the disease and gave rabies vaccine.

Me and my younger boy are waiting because there's a lot of people here. Some are cats, some are dog bites or scratches are infected. And first everyone has to stand in line and maintain discipline and consult a doctor.

Seeing the crowd, me and my son sat for a while then we lined up to enter the doctor room.After showing the infected area to the doctor, he asked if the blood was shed?Since our infected area is very less affected, we only recommended three vaccines Inj.Anti Rabies (0,3 7th day) 0.1ML I/D for three days, rabies prevention vaccine , and no other medicine.

Counter-04 has to come back with the prescription from the doctor's room to see the doctor. Patients' vaccinations are registered and the date of the vaccine will be written here.So after seeing my prescription, he wrote down 8,11 and 15March periodically after the vaccination date. We gave the first vaccination today on the 8th, after giving the vaccine, the area immediately opens and swells because the vaccine is slightly bent and given under the skin. Nothing can be used at the vaccination site.

And for every patient According to the facilities that are available in the hospital, the hospital has different instructions in different places.

• 1 .There is a place to wash the affected area with alkaline soap
• 2 .Tickets must be anti for 10 Taka.
• 3 .There is no extra free to show to the emergency medical officer and no extra payment is required to give the vaccine. Only the patient's ticket must be entered at the old patient's counter before each vaccination.
• 4 .Here everyone maintains discipline and stands in line to see a doctor and gets free vaccine services under the supervision of the Directorate of Information and Health by the Government of Bangladesh.
• 5 Registration is done after seeing the doctor of the old disease in the counter no - 7. In that case, if the date of vaccination is not given according to the date mentioned, then the date of the vaccine has to be taken again later.The previous mistakes and the vaccinations that were given earlier should be canceled and the vaccination should be registered again.

One thing everyone has to take care of is that the specific dates of giving the vaccine are mentioned, so according to the specific date, everyone should be vaccinated with anti-Rabies vaccine or they should re-enter the ticket and take the vaccine from the beginning.

Vaccination to prevent rabies Government measures are being taken to control rabies in humans and animals.The main symptom of the disease is water scares.When such symptoms appear in a person or animal, it is no longer possible to save him (if such symptoms appear, it is possible to take the patient to the hospital, but most of the patients die within 24 hours.
So whether an animal is injured, bitten or scratched by a nail, it must be vaccinated against rabies within 24 hours and every district has such a system in government hospitals.

I would like to finally say one thing maybe my son's injury was not serious but I don't know anymore that the dog is also carrying rabies because the disease spreads from dog saliva so I arranged for my son to be vaccinated within 24 hours. So be it any patient or initial condition be it early condition or severe initial condition should never be ignored.
